That was the problem: it was supposed to last for two weeks but ended up fizzling out within a couple days. Most of the people brought in were vapid and the fish didn’t bother working together to get them out as intended, instead deciding to eliminate on of the only people left who actually put effort into the competitions. Symbal was a creep but he actually gave a damn about putting effort in, unlike Payton who just sat around most of the time.
Very true. With Jon he burnt out naturally due to the challenges but the others were pushed way too far: especially Cole. Jimmy losing to TJ was a huge blow to the season: he actually TRIED to be funny while nontent king TJ just sat around with his woman by his side for 99% of the show. The TJmaxxers were all self-inserting faggot redditors and it goes to show how after the tank he has done absolutely NOTHING. Alex B was legitimately mental so he would have been difficult to keep entertaining without going full psycho.
I mean the common sentiment is that he could've been wrangled if not for the wild randy thing but he had a cruise booked and he's not as rich as he says to just pass up them buffets for his project. Jus peep those tater tots.
This is the biggest flaw with every season. And they do it every time. I remember how the first 9 days of this season we all thought the pacing was exceptional and they truly learned from season two. I still think Alex was really easy to wrangle and was already calmed even after the wife shit. It was the one time Binx actually proved useful. But them doubling down on wild randy just killed him. Wish we got at least 3-5 days of Frank and Alex being buddies before the wild Randy reveal. Would’ve been great content seeing Frank gaslight Alex and turning him against the other fish or some shit like he did with Burt. Also would’ve made the reveal more impactful.
After the reveal but before his wife was brought in he said that he was willing to stay for the whole show so who knows what would've happened.
