late af but I know some people there and can confirm it was a black student. The college didn't want to say bc they're exploring legal options which I believe they are pursuing. Plus the police had been involved since the start, so maybe criminal charges too. Everyone dislikes him, he does not have any defenders. Students found out because the email said it was the same person who had reported it, and the guy had bragged about reporting it. He has not been seen on campus since. He probably did it to launch a political campaign since he'd been trying to before.
