This is not going through the chain of command, so employees should not respond to it. In fact, several agencies already sent out an email to not respond to the OPM email.

Musk wants them in by midnight on Monday. How is he going to know? Is he actually reading through millions of emails? What happens when the OPM servers inevitably crash?

There has been chaos in the federal government for the past month. I can see why federal employees would be worried. Musk could see a tweet from X user Chadius “Killallniggers” IV which says the Department of Energy is woke and comes to the conclusion that the entire department must be eliminated.

I recently lost a friend over politics. And the answer to your question is that he wasn’t always a lunatic. He used to be a regular dude who was always right leaning. He even voted for trump the first go round. Then Covid hit and he went insane. There literally is no position too far left for him now. I have no idea how that happened. But I didn’t cut him off because A: we had been friends for about 15 years at that point and B: I had hope that if we just didn’t talk politics he would eventually come back to reality. But after the inauguration he blocked me and another buddy’s numbers and that was that.
