Eh. Milo is a bad fit with conservatives for all sorts of obvious reasons. It wasn't going to work out long-term. Doesn't meant the two have to set about destroying each other now.

Say, Jake -- below the age of legal consent is not the same as pre-pubescent. You may well regard both as wrong, but there's a big and important difference.

Milo was a victim in one regard. He had sex with a much older man who absolutely knew what he did was completely wrong. No 14 year old could really be seen as giving consent to sexual contact with a much older person. The much older person knew that such a relationship was wrong in the first place. Whether or not Milo will ever admit he was abused in this regard is up to him and how he deals with this incident. Every abuse victim has a way of dealing with it. Some are even damaged enough to make jokes about it, sadly.

My sympathy ends about here.

Too me this is Milo's Character finally biting him in the ass. Milo does not seem real to me and for the most part, everything about him is a lie to me. He is a troll who plays a villain to have people gasp and shriek in horror from his absurd or increasingly edgy statements. There used to be "Shock Jocks" a long time ago on the radio. Some still have shows. Milo is no different. Milo makes his bread and butter being controversial. In this regard, his edgy statements biting him in the ass, is justly deserved. Trying to parse the concept of consent with Milo's method, usually does not end well. Milo is a troll who finally got hoisted by his own petard.

As for the revealers of this tape. As a conservative myself, I usually have a sense when a group or something trying to fake being grassroots conservative is utter astroturf bullshit. A group calling themselves the "Reagan Battalion"(Invoking Reagan's name while calling themselves a military group to illicit a sense of grass roots patriotism) not only set off my Conservative Astroturf Bullshit alarm, but also makes me want to know more about them. It mostly has links to a number of major outlets that all hated Trump and have no love for Breitbart. Don't get me wrong, Breitbart is shitty. This situation reminds me of the incident with Shirley Sherrod. The one where they released an incomplete tape to get her fired and imply the government hired people who discriminate against white farmers. Andrew Breitbart knowingly released a tape in an incomplete form to cause damage. This seems strangely familiar, perhaps form of karmic justice.

I think withholding judgment until more is released is a better option. To be honest, I find everyone involved in this to be dishonest and I want more context.


Also, I will state this. A lot of things are happening in this. A number of people in the conservative movement were displaced by Trump. Some would say that Trump destroyed 2 major parties in this election. I would agree with that.

My concern is that these same people rooting for Milo and Trump to fail, still ignore the factors that allowed for their rise in the first place. Trump and Milo are simply symptoms of a much more severe problem. Until, the displaced conservatives and liberals can create real solutions to those problems - there will be other incarnations of Milo/Trump in the future.

If Milo were a bit more clever about his "OW THE EDGE" and trolling he might've actually had a chance of becoming something bigger than "The Dangerous Faggot" he now is. But his on-the-nose act is so obvious, he burned any chance of escaping his self-made image and elevating himself some time ago.

Everyone is going to remember who he was in the future and he'll never be anything else. It's like he character auditioned himself into a corner.

This is what happens when your trade is "contrarian". Even if the allegations against you aren't true, people will believe them and remember them in the future, just because of who you are and how you present yourself.

Edit: Also, someone like Milo complaining about deceptive editing lol. Isn't he this media genius that should know better?

Edit: And he's complaining about his "detractors" waiting for him to slip up like that and pouncing on it. Something he should know all about as well. Oh poor Milo... boohoo.

I have mixed feelings about Milo.
Sometimes, i think he is just a fucking gay faggot with an affinity for the big black ding dong who uses memes as a substitute for reason and debate, while bullying people when said person has the balls to point and laugh (Remember that one time when he was harassing Ben Shapiro by calling him a cuck and a manlet?)

But then again, Milo is our gay faggot with an affinity for the big black ding dong, and his freedom of speech should be respected, even if we might not agree with him.

Milo's a professional troll. He knowingly goes out of his way to piss people off to illicit insane reactions. Then he denies that he did or said anything that pissed them off in the first place. That's his basic MO.

Like Leslie Jones. Dude knowingly directs the Breitbart mob against her, then when he gets banned from twitter uses it to say that he didn't actually do anything and twitter banned him because they're just a bunch of meanie liberals who hate free speech (and Jones sucks anyway right wink wink?). This is how he's managed to get as notable as he has.

Milo's only coherent ideology is that he's a victim. If he has to make himself a victim to be a victim he'll do it.

Yea but how is he able to pull it off? 90% of us would be caught red-handed when saying diametrically opposite things than what we said the week before. He does it because he believes both sides of the coin, his ego is plastic enough to actually change whatever he believes in according to the situation at hand and what is most likely to benefit him at the present moment. This is why he can keep a straight face when doing his basic MO and why he's so good at it.

It probably goes without saying that this is a typical characteristic of an abusive psychopath.
