WASHINGTON, Feb 23 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said in a post on social media Sunday that Dan Bongino will be deputy director of the FBI.

Bongino, a conservative radio talk show host, will join Kash Patel, who was recently confirmed by the Senate as director of the FBI.

Italian, Master of Business Administration, NYPD for 4 years, Secret Service agent for 12 years. I'd say that's qualified for a relative outsider, and it makes sense that Trump would want a New York native somewhere on the team.

And yet, Reuters describes him only as
a conservative radio talk show host

Because that's what he's famous for. I'm sure it's what he got the job for. Bongino is on Boomer News (FOX). But he does have, like you all said, a background in law enforcement/security.
Didn't he get fired from Fox News and started streaming on Rumble, or something? I've always painted him with a "Tucker Carlson Ally" brush but I don't follow him so I'm making assumptions on some things.

Forget the school to prison pipeline, we're setting up a Fox News to White House pipeline these days.
tbf I think Gorka was Newsmax and Salem News Channel instead of Fox
