I don't know, even today when others doubted it, after your responses I checked for some clips - I listened to the one where Fred admits to blackmailing somebody and to me it is the same voice, just different mic. But I might be wrong. I just find it curious x). I don't have deep knowledge about DSP lore, but I stumbled on SOK couple of episodes before their implosion, and when this guy(Meaningful Content) showed up in my feed I closed my eyes and went: "This voice ... This is the leader of Sons of Kojima."

As someone who is a freelance translator myself (though I'm changing careers in about 2 months) I pretty much do the same. It mostly depends on the combination of languages, I personally don't know how well JP-EN and vice versa pays since I don't do translations for either language but if it pays well and if he has a good reputation and if he doesn't have an expensive lifestyle then he can work whenever he needs the money and spend the rest of the time twiddling his thumbs if he wants. I personally only effectively work for 6 months out of the year.

Technically ass burgers (which I bet Phil has) doesn't count as autism, it's its own condition. Most of the autism symptoms Phil has can be explained by being a shut in for +/- a decade - he is quite literally mentally stunted more than he would be autistic. I admit the difference itself is pretty autistic (developed vs. intrinsic) but there's a reason they don't label people that go crazy in Antarctica as socio/psychopaths.

There's a study on a crew stationed in Antarctica that found similar results to the "autistic" traits that Phil seemingly expresses after just a year. I use Antarctica as an example because it's a pretty close approximation to Phil's actual social situation and there's been research done.
Aside from the inherent/developed distinction, people that are autistic tend to be emotionless at first but get extremely emotional very quickly if you press their buttons.
