Cobra has nobody, not a single person, in his life that is actively helping him attempt to have a better future and longer life. Everyone in Cobra's life is either purposely harming him or enabling him. Even if his liver rots out naturally or he has some kind of serious health scare, Cobra will never make the decision to clean his act up on his own. I’m doubtful this is ever happening, I’m of the belief what we see on camera is Josh attempting good behavior. I’m sure off screen, what his family deals with, is way worse similar to how he made threats against his dad around Christmas which got him arrested, he never said that shit on stream. There’s zero chance his family doesn’t know how bad Slosh Saunders has become or the terrible shape of his teeth, my guess is Clint as already tried to get him to the dentist, tried intervening multiple times, and Josh just refuses. I think they know the inevitable outcome that’s arriving and are just going to let him “live his best life”, like a sick pet dog you know will die in a few years so give it the most pampered life possible before you need to put it down.

I think back before the first eviction saga, he was going to the dentist somewhat regularly, and obviously never getting good news then. Had he actually listened and started to take better care of his mouth he might have been able to stave off the disease ridden state he is in now. He doesn't seem to be in pain anymore anymore when he eats and hell in his last "food hack" video he was using what teeth he had left to open a plastic package. So chances are, most of his roots are dead and he is in end game gum disease.

I think pretty much everyone can see where we are heading but honestly who knows how close we are to the "end". I'd assume most old heads like me are sticking around just because we've been watching him for so long, gotta see it through to the end.

It's a shame the Reddit is gone, I was looking forward to seeing the Reddit page filled with posts talking about how much they miss him and blaming everyone but themselves for enabling him.

Yeah, I think he gave up after the last attempt (the video posted above). That was early 2020, and he initially took him in for a cleaning, but Josh ended up needing a root canal. Even back in 2020, his teeth were to the point where going to the dentist just for a cleaning was laughable. I think he was trying to do the bare minimum, got stuck on the hook for actual dental work, and said "never again." I'm sure wrangling Josh during this was a nightmare, too.

Pretty sure the last dentist visit attempt was at the end of the puff saga, and Clint was completely hands-off. He even attaboys Josh in the yfs interview, when Josh said he scheduled an appointment, but didn't show up because he was looking for puff. He might be suggesting Josh to go to the dentist behind the scenes, but it seems like he's done actually trying to help. Shit's sad.

As others have said, his family couldn't do much if they tried. No one can force Cobra to go to a doctor or dentist, take prescribed medication, exercise, eat healthily, or put down his pipes, cigarettes, and drink combos. If Clint gave Cobra an ultimatum such as "You better go to the doctor and do what he says, or I'm kicking you out of the trailer, BOY," or "Get clean and sober from all drugs and alcohol or you're gone, BOY," Cobra would just end up homeless.

By keeping Cobra alive and off the streets he enables Cobra's slow death. By cutting Cobra off and making him homeless and on his own, he would enable Cobra's quicker death.

Maybe if KFC brings back the double-down, things will get better.

This is the exact feeling. I'm glad people clip his slop streams down so I don't have to sit through hours but he has detoriated to such an unrecognizable state it's like a different person. Cobes is an example of why glass tappers get the rope. There are times when things can be funny, sure when it's one or two people, but once that cow blows up and weens all think they can do it it fucks everything up. Leave him alone dude, he's autistic.

Granted it would be a huge ordeal to get him to do so and it would test Clint's already questionable will of if he wants his child to survive. I'm not going to get into the "CLINT BAD DAD" discussion but he could intervene if he really wanted to and hopefully a legit health scare would make him want to. Hopefully.
