"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Then what are you trying to say? Because that sounded like a defense. Taking what I said, which is literally what happens in the movie, and implying it's a bad faith "interpretation" when you know that old men are behind not only the script, but also the literal hundreds drawings of children groping themselves, and acting like it's okay because hurr durr in the context of the film the MC is also a child is insane.

Me criticizing Your Name for being pedophilic (because it is) doesn't make me anti-anime. Any adult writing any content about children lusting over one another or having sex is making pedophilic content no matter where it's from.
It was a bad faith interpretation. There is no sex in the movie. The main character drinking sake that was fermented in a gross way is hardly overtly pedophilic in any sane person's mind; It's a comedy gag. I also don't think you can say writing about teenagers (not children) having a relationship is inherently pedophillic. Again, that would indict millions of writers from all around the globe.

I think that we fundamentally agree here, we're just both being pedantic about our definitions. Maybe I jumped the gun, but from your reply it seemed like you were trying to make the argument that all anime is like Your Name, and Your Name was pedophillic due to the sake gag. The only reason you can argue so confidently on this is because the director was revealed to be a creep, but there isn't really much in Your Name that is a definitive gotcha moment if you didn't already know that; it's quite tame, especially for Japan. I really don't care though, and we should probably stop derailing the thread with shit nobody cares about.

Wow I wonder where else you could explore this concept...

Oh right. I wonder what grammy thinks of Tolkien. Does she have respect for myth infused european history? Or like, reading?

Hmm well I'm sure the nips can add something special to a story like this...

Oh look, zogfeed goychow goonslop. I wonder what she thought of the part with a potion that dissolved clothes? Well you know, I guess that part is integral to the story of how a race of elder beings interact with others... I just have to wonder if grammy is even able to conceptualize of the amount of men that are masturbating to this cartoon she likes.

What might such terrible knowledge lead her to conclude? Grammy might pick up a flammenwerfer if she started reading reddit threads for the nice little elf show. One wonders.

@Null There's an episode of MATI where you gave a recommendation for a great mic to use for streaming. I can't remember exactly when though. Do you remember the mic?

Someone else requested you restore MSO's posts in the SS13 threads and look into the MSO spergout rabbit hole for content.
I would like to second that, the whole SS13 drama looks like a goldmine.

  • Agree

Just listening to the latest MATI and the min-maxing fertility argument is such a stupid cope from these people.
They want 16 year olds because their minds aren't fully formed and their pattern recognition isn't maxed yet to understand that the men preying on them are weirdos. It's a way to get a girl who "doesn't have a high body count like those 20 yr old hags" and then impart your ideology on her while she is still in such a confusing time and crossroads of influence she is much more readily going to adhere to what the older guy who is into her is telling her.
Because when you're 16 you're not thinking: "Why isn't this 26 year old guy dating someone his own age". You're thinking: "Wow, he must see how mature I really am!"
You also don't have the life experience to really challenge their established views either so you end up adopting those views for better or for worse. It's a way to try and create their perfect woman by starting as young as possible.

Is it not common practice to score your registration stickers with a razor blade? I work in a very white-trash dense area, and everyone scores their stickers to prevent registration thieft.
I just chose to live somewhere this isn't an issue.

And now as far as I know, most cops just have scanners that read the plate and check the database and they don't even bother looking at the sticker. I had a registered car where I forgot to put the sticker on for like three years and nobody said a thing.

Also if you actually marry a 18 year old, and don't produce something like ten kids, you were just larping.

Some guy wandered into a power plant in 2023 and they have absolutely no idea who he is and are now asking for help

The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the unknown suspect involved in an unauthorized intrusion into a power plant in Winfield, West Virginia. On December 30, 2023, between 9:00 p.m. and 9:31 p.m., an unknown individual gained unauthorized access to the interior of the John Amos power plant. Surveillance cameras captured images of a late 1990s to early 2000s Jeep Cherokee being driven by the suspect. The driver of the vehicle is described as a White male, late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5 '9" to 5'10", and weighing approximately 165 to 175 pounds.

Very true, it's also very harmful to have children back to back for the woman and child since you're not allowing the woman's body to replenish and recover from producing the previous child which can result in adverse effects. The recommended time frame is 2 years but I really feel they just use the "but we need to start with young girls to re-build the white race as quickly as possible!" angle because the truth exposes what creeps they are.

If they were truly so concerned about it Nick would be producing now given research has shown sperm quality has a large impact on the child as well and can be linked to a lot of miscarriages and other adverse pregnancy results as well as conditions during pregnancy such as preeclampsia. But we all know why he doesn't already have a horde of children and it's because the white race isn't as important as him being a homosexual.

Yeah, the people who are actually true believers got married to the 18-21 year old when they were 19-22 years old, and are pumping kids out like clockwork every two years (it's hard to get much below two years without artificial assistance if you breastfeed).

They fucking do not post on the Internet, and certainly don't post as groypers. Half of them are Amish or Orthodox (Jewish or Christian, take your pick).

Also the idiots don't even realize what the average actual marriage age has been for ten centuries (protip: it's not the nobility marriage age, or the Mohammed marriage age).

Anyone old enough to remember "Sixteen and pregnant" would never say that teenage girls should be having children. They make absolutely shit mothers (and teenage boys make even shittier fathers). There's a reason we eradicated teenage pregnancy pretty efficiently. In fact a majority of the birth rate decline is teenagers no longer getting prego. But of course none of these guys who talk about impregnating 16 year old girls actually care about the reality of it, they are just losers who think a young girl won't be able to tell what a horrible loser they are.

Anyone old enough to remember "Sixteen and pregnant" would never say that teenage girls should be having children.
Even in the bad old days nobody wanted greganagant teenagers. see https://internetshakespeare.uvic.ca/Library/SLT/society/family/marriage.html

What there WERE cases of, relatively rare even then, is teenagers fucking around and getting caught out and whelp now you're married, bitches, live your life.

Remember that back then, people had families and parents and even society out to keep an eye on everything. There's never been a time in history where parents are lining up to prostitute their teenage daughters to weird incel freaks.

Yeah two under two is definitely no joke. It's crazy how different their personalities can be so early. My first is such a roll with the punches and independent little guy and my second is attached at the hip and will scream as soon as you set him down.

ETA:

Anyone old enough to remember "Sixteen and pregnant" would never say that teenage girls should be having children.
Out of the teen pregnancies at my school I really only remember one of them being a good mom. She made her son everything, of course the dad was a complete dirt bag and had nothing to do with the boy. The other girl I remember getting pregnant got kicked out of the bar for bringing her infant with her and sitting the baby's carrier on the bar so she could drink.

It's even more fun when you have more, and realize that Z looks identical to B even though a few years younger, but has a completely different personality.

Quite fun, actually. Except for the absolute mountains of poop and barf.

I was actually somewhat interested in checking that one out in a vain attempt to cleanse my animephobia but when the "potion that melts clothes" scene went viral I just couldn't. They can't fucking help themselves. Anime will lure you in with an interesting concept and then beat you over the head with the reminder that Japan is a nation of gooners and we should have finished the job with a third bomb.

They offered a 50k reward for Luigi Mangione and then didn't pay it out to the guy who ratted him out on a technicality. I am never falling for this "REWARD OFFERED" shit. Go do your thing, power plant man.

Something that might interest for tomorrow, Trump and Rumble are tired of the Moraes, a egomaniac supreme justice in brazil who singlehandedly controls the country and has a raging hard on for a single man because he mocked him being bald (no really).
WASHINGTON/SAO PAULO, Feb 19 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT.O), opens new tab and video-sharing platform Rumble (RUM.O), opens new tab sued a Brazilian Supreme Court justice over accusations of illegal censorship on Wednesday.
The case comes as the judge, Alexandre de Moraes, weighs charges brought on Tuesday alleging former President Jair Bolsonaro led a plot to overthrow Brazil's government and undermine the country’s democracy after his 2022 election loss.

Trump Media's lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Tampa, alleged that the judge's previous orders "censor legitimate political discourse in the United States."
Rumble in a statement said the lawsuit alleged that Moraes "violated the free speech protections of the First Amendment when he ordered the suspension of the U.S.-based accounts of a specific well-known, politically outspoken user."
It did not name the person.
In recent years, Moraes has issued many rulings blocking social media accounts as he spearheaded a crusade against perceived attacks on democracy and the political use of disinformation in Brazil.

Brazil's Supreme Court and Moraes' office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The Republican U.S. president is a majority owner of Trump Media, which runs his private social media platform Truth Social, although the Trump Organization has said he would hand over daily management of his various businesses to his children while serving in the White House.
Trump's vice president, JD Vance, a former venture capitalist and former U.S. senator, had previously invested in Florida-based Rumble in 2021, the same year Trump joined the platform.
Rumble in 2023 disabled access for users in Brazil citing court orders to "remove certain creators," which it vowed to challenge.

The platform went back online in the country earlier this year. CEO Chris Pavlovski said Brazil had moved "to rescind their censorship order on Rumble," without providing further details, and credited it with Trump's election win.
Justice Moraes last year was locked in a months-long feud with Elon Musk and led the Supreme Court decision that temporarily suspended Musk-owned X in Brazil over the social media platform's failure to comply with court rulings.
Moraes in January said that tech firms would need to comply with local laws in order to keep operating in Brazil, adding that the top court would not allow them to exploit their use of hate speech for profit.
I've asked Grok to summarize why Moraes is a complete lunatic:

From a perspective sympathetic to Elon Musk and Brazilian dissidents opposing the current judicial and political establishment, Alexandre de Moraes, a Brazilian Supreme Court Justice and former head of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), has emerged since 2019 as a polarizing figure accused of undermining fair justice and free speech. Critics, including Musk and Brazilian conservatives, portray Moraes as a judicial authoritarian who has weaponized his position to silence dissent, target political opponents—particularly those aligned with former President Jair Bolsonaro—and erode democratic principles under the guise of protecting them. Below is an outline of his actions and notable cases, reflecting this viewpoint.

Actions Against Fair Justice and Free Speech Since 2019:
Moraes’ tenure since 2019, particularly as the overseer of the "Fake News Inquiry," is seen by detractors as a systematic campaign to consolidate power and suppress opposition voices. The Fake News Inquiry, launched in 2019 by then-Chief Justice Dias Toffoli and assigned directly to Moraes without the customary random selection process, is often cited as the starting point of his controversial actions. Critics argue this investigation allowed Moraes to act as judge, prosecutor, and investigator simultaneously, violating due process and fair justice principles. From this platform, he has allegedly expanded his reach, issuing sweeping orders to censor individuals, raid homes, freeze assets, and arrest perceived threats to Brazil’s institutions—often with little transparency or evidence.

Musk and Brazilian dissidents assert that Moraes has curtailed free speech by targeting social media platforms and users who express conservative or anti-establishment views. His orders to block accounts, suspend platforms like X, and impose hefty fines are viewed as heavy-handed attempts to control discourse, especially ahead of elections or during political crises. This perspective holds that Moraes justifies these measures by labeling dissent as "disinformation" or "anti-democratic," a broad and subjective standard that stifles legitimate expression and political opposition.
Pursuit of Political Opponents

From this viewpoint, Moraes’ actions disproportionately target Bolsonaro and his allies, suggesting a politically motivated vendetta. Since 2019, he has overseen numerous investigations into Bolsonaro’s circle, accusing them of spreading falsehoods about electronic voting machines, plotting coups, or inciting unrest. Critics argue that Moraes’ aggressive tactics—ordering arrests without trial, banning individuals from public office, and censoring their online presence—amount to judicial persecution rather than impartial justice. This narrative portrays him as a key player in a broader effort to neutralize the Brazilian right, particularly after Bolsonaro’s 2022 electoral loss to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Notorious Cases
  1. The Fake News Inquiry (2019-Ongoing)
    • Details: Initiated in 2019, this probe targeted alleged disinformation campaigns against the Supreme Court. Moraes assumed control and has since used it to investigate and punish Bolsonaro supporters, including politicians, businessmen, and ordinary citizens.
    • Criticism: Detractors claim the inquiry lacks legal grounding, as it was opened by the Court itself rather than an external request, and Moraes’ dual role as investigator and judge undermines fairness. Posts on X and reports from conservative outlets allege he censored users without clear evidence of illegal content, targeting those who merely supported Bolsonaro’s policies or questioned election integrity.
  2. Telegram Ban (2022)
    • Details: In March 2022, Moraes ordered a nationwide suspension of Telegram after the app failed to comply with requests to block accounts, including that of pro-Bolsonaro blogger Allan dos Santos, accused of spreading disinformation. The ban was lifted only after Telegram acquiesced.
    • Criticism: Seen as an overreach, this move showcased Moraes’ willingness to shut down entire platforms to silence dissent. Musk, a vocal free speech advocate, later cited similar overreach in his clashes with Moraes over X, arguing it exemplifies a pattern of censorship.
  3. Raids on Businessmen (2022)
    • Details: In August 2022, Moraes authorized raids on the homes of eight businessmen who supported Bolsonaro, based on leaked WhatsApp messages discussing a potential coup. Their assets were frozen, and social media accounts suspended.
    • Criticism: Critics, including Musk, argue this was a politically motivated attack with scant evidence of a coordinated plot. The heavy-handed response is viewed as intimidation of private citizens exercising free speech, not criminals planning actionable crimes.
  4. Nikolas Ferreira’s Suspension (2022)
    • Details: During the 2022 election, Moraes ordered the suspension of social media accounts belonging to Nikolas Ferreira, a young Bolsonaro ally elected to Congress, for questioning the security of electronic voting machines—a claim Bolsonaro also made. (Grok forgot to add that under the Brazilian constitution, a Politician is completely invulnerable to censorship laws, he's supposed to say whatever the fuck he wants)
    • Criticism: This case is cited as evidence of Moraes targeting rising conservative voices, silencing legitimate political critique under the pretext of combating disinformation.
  5. January 8, 2023, Riot Response
    • Details: Following the storming of government buildings by Bolsonaro supporters after Lula’s inauguration, Moraes ordered the arrest of over 2,000 individuals, including officials like Anderson Torres (former Justice Minister) and Fabio Augusto Vieira (Military Police commander). He also suspended the Federal District governor, Ibaneis Rocha, for 90 days.
    • Criticism: Dissidents argue Moraes exploited the unrest to mass-arrest Bolsonaro allies, often without individual evidence of wrongdoing, bypassing due process. The scale and speed of arrests fueled claims of a judicial purge. (Grok forgot to add that a truck driver delivering shit next to congress and a homeless man who was 2000 miles away were also arrested and put into solitary confinement for over 2 years now, without access to lawyers)
  6. Bolsonaro’s Ineligibility (2023)
    • Details: Moraes played a pivotal role in the TSE’s decision to bar Bolsonaro from running for office until 2030, citing his claims of electoral fraud in 2022.
    • Criticism: Seen as a direct attack on Bolsonaro’s political future, this ruling is framed as Moraes rigging the system to eliminate a key opponent, leveraging judicial power to influence democracy’s outcome.
  7. Clash with Elon Musk and X (2024)
    • Details: In 2024, Moraes ordered X to block accounts accused of spreading hate speech and disinformation, prompting Musk to close X’s Brazilian office and call Moraes a “dictator.” Moraes responded by banning X nationwide and fining it millions, escalating tensions. (Grok also forgot to add, he threatened to arrest every single X or SpaceX employee, even if they were on Brazil just for vacation, indefinetly without trial until Musk paid his ransom.)
    • Criticism: Musk and dissidents view this as Moraes’ most blatant assault on free speech, punishing a platform for refusing to bow to his censorship demands. The fines and ban are seen as vindictive, aimed at crushing dissent and foreign influence challenging his authority.
Broader Implications
From this pro-Musk, pro-dissident stance, Moraes’ actions since 2019 paint him as a judicial tyrant whose pursuit of Bolsonaro and his supporters has crippled free expression and fair justice in Brazil. His control over social media, unilateral rulings, and targeting of political foes are likened to a “dictatorship of the judiciary,” a charge Musk amplified by vowing to expose Moraes’ “corruption.” Notable cases like the Telegram ban, raids on businessmen, and the X saga reinforce the narrative of a justice who prioritizes power over constitutional rights, leaving dissidents and free speech advocates—like Musk—rallying against what they see as an existential threat to Brazilian liberty.
If you think this is just being me or Grok being biased against bald macaco lex luthor, he made this speech today:
While delivering an inaugural lecture to welcome new students at the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo (USP), in the historic hall at Largo do São Francisco, Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice and law professor Alexandre de Moraes stated that “algorithms are ideologically directed to indoctrinate people.”

During his speech, Moraes discussed what he considers the root of the problem with social media: the ability of anyone, regardless of formal education, to speak freely and influence others. He once again defended the regulation of social media platforms and criticized Big Tech companies and what he frequently refers to as the “far-right.” According to Moraes, social media has been instrumentalized by “fascist economic groups to erode democracy from within.”

To illustrate his argument, he claimed that “hate speech” on social media stems from economic crises, when people, in Brazil and other countries, start looking for scapegoats, drawing a comparison to the AfD party in Germany.

“At a certain point, following global economic crises and income concentration, a large segment of the population—primarily what we call the middle class in Brazil—began to feel uncomfortable. From there, a discourse emerged: ‘I am in this economic situation because there are too many foreigners here.’ That is the European discourse. It is fascism, the far-right regaining electoral strength. ‘Why is there no more employment? Because women entered the job market.’ Misogyny has returned with force. This rhetoric primarily targets white, heterosexual men over the age of 45. To combat evil, we must understand its roots. This sentiment, this resurgence of what used to be dismissed as the "barbecue uncle" discourse, is now the discourse of 20% of Germany and an even higher percentage in Brazil.”

Moraes continued his analysis by emphasizing that, while Big Tech companies are not responsible for the underlying sentiments of hatred that arise from economic crises, they have “capitalized on these sentiments and transformed them into a mass indoctrination mechanism” on social media.

“These companies already had expertise in the economic field. They simply expanded their focus. There were already studies on how algorithms could be directed for economic purposes, to push products onto people. The major global debate is understanding how algorithms are used on social media. They are not random. If you send a message in favor of democracy, a given platform will send it to five people. If you send a message insulting someone, the algorithm will push it to 100,000 people. Is it like a lottery? No! Algorithms are ideologically directed to indoctrinate people.”

What did this digital populism do? ‘We cannot eliminate the media, so let’s create a parallel news channel filled with falsehoods that carries the same influence.’ Today, Zezinho from the corner, an influencer, spreads fake news, and newspapers have to comment on it just to debunk it. But by doing so, they already give him credibility. People no longer know whom to believe.”

As Moraes was about to take the podium, one of the event's presiding members stood up holding a sign that read “No Amnesty.” The phrase, referencing the January 8 detainees, was met with applause and chants from the audience.
