Congrats! Glad to know more kiwi's working out in the field; hope you can ask for significantly more dosh.

Not trying to PL here but: Most common federal endpoints have been updated to using SSD post-2020 after the average cost of an SSD went sub-100; due to the refresh cycles we could say it's around ~60-70% so degaussing wouldn't be effective and they'd either be cryptoshredding or using complete media destruction.
But, regardless the pencil pusher caste was retarded enough to use search engine within DMV limits.
Wear leveling algos mean that traditional multi-pass overwrite methods no longer work on SSDs. However, if they're encrypted, just secure erase the key header and that data is fucking gone. True of software based encryption like LUKS as well.

If you're wondering what the Democrat side looks like
no need, i actually looked at prior results and the elections are usually very close and like i said, Trump isn't exactly known for being able to pick someone who's a good pick for the electorate. Dr. Oz won the primary with the trump endorsement but got fucking creamed come election day, Vivek seems 100% like the same scenario.

A lot of people did after she was dropped cause nobody liked her. She was always a liberal democrat who supported Obama through an Email campaign and yet despite this DeWine still picked her to be the Health Director, supposedly because there was no other choices but I highly doubt that. Also she's jewish if you guys are wondering so that's interesting.
I just assumed the bug-eyed RINO wanted to bang her. Slight PL, one of my sisters was at an event with him once, said that most politicians are kinda slimy, but he was both slimy and creepy. I assumed they were going to run Husted for governor, but Yost or LaRose would be better than the Jeet. Whatever their issues, at least they're Ohio GOP issues.

Dr. Amy though? I know I beat the Ohio Dems are Retards drum a lot, but damned if they don't demonstrate it every chance they get.

Honestly the only thing that could take him down is for some major scandal to emerge that would end his career, and Ohio is a lot different from PA, which is a swing state. If a Democrat were to win the Governorship they'd have to deal with a Republican-Controlled Legislature, and at best there would be gridlock between both sides.

It's completely nonsensical tbh. Current practice requires a relatively low bar to initiate a 72 hour hold because it's meant to be used as an observation/cool down/control an acute situation period. If a serious problem is found, then the traditional court proceeding starts. If at any point during the hold it is determined that you are not at risk to yourself or others and are capable of living independently, the current practice is to release. This frees up a bed and also stops someone from being billed for the entire holding period. There's also been some lawsuits about this in the past because failing to do so is effectively keeping someone without due process. Basically, if the hospital/physician isn't petitioning to keep you, then you are considered well enough. This idea basically allows some retard police officer to claim that they have a better understanding of an individual's mental state than a treating physician.
Not to mention the fact that the police get to operate completely separately in the case could be exploited. A vindictive official could take someone who's been deemed safe for release, but not safe to own a firearm, and try to make the case that "Well, the POLICE think he isn't actually safe, and the police are much more qualified in matters of public safety and criminal justice than a doctor, therefore we should be able to override the doctor's recommendation and proceed with the charges." Whether the argument actually works remains to be seen, but they're definitely going to try it.

Pretty sure I stated this?? Lol
Regardless; for the sake of commentary. It's a coin toss on the efficacy/powerlevel of the techno-feds. Who knows, either they are smart enough to cryptoshred, or are completely incompetent. @HTTP Error 404 might actually be right on the money it could be completely futile with what is required via policy or standards. NSA was gooning on public channels, and that knowledge was delivered to us. Depending on their access control models they might not be able to actually do much.

In other words Fauci Lite is going to become Ohio's governor. Blue Ohio is starting to look like a foregone conclusion.

CENTCOM general Kurilla just made an unplanned visit to Israel. Netanyahu has been excused from testifying in his trial for a while because he claims there's a security matter that threatens the future of the State.

I think Iran may have broke out and gotten their nuke
Sauce please.

Not because I dont believe you, just because this peaked my desire to know more

Saw this around. Looks like Trump's bringing out new shit to give police new powers to take your guns should you get "civilly committed". Potential gungrab or something that might actually be useful, I'll let the thread decide.
Unequivocal L for Trump

Guess we were due

Seems pretty straight forward in theory but it could be weaponized at a point down the line. The idea seems to be prevent the world from having to deal with another Nikolas Cruz-style mass shooter.
That's what bothers me. The laws could be further changed to lower the bar to takes what it takes to get a hold put on someone as an excuse to take their guns. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid.

I don't understand the purpose of this.
If the person is being committed they are being taken away from their guns (by way of being put into a facility) so their guns don't need to be taken from them. They're already separated from them. The whole point of committing them.

And if it's they're released, hasn't it been determined they're not a threat to themselves or others at that point? The whole reason they're being released?

So why would a cop get to decide they're still a threat to themselves or others? If they're released is it not implied the psychiatrists don't think so?
Cops are not psychiatrists, how do they know someone is or isn't a threat to themselves or others, especially with enough authority to trump a licensed psychiatrist?
Seems retarded to me unless I'm missing something.

God damn it Trump. Why the fuck are you endorsing Vivek, especially after the pure fury he drew from the base?
First, Trump rewards loyalty. 100 years ago during the 2024 Republican primaries, Trump was going through the sham trial and it was still unclear whether or not he was politically toast. Vivek was one of the few (if not the only) candidate who defended Trump in the debates, and later went on to be a prolific surrogate for him during the campaign. Vivek being incredibly wealthy from his pump-and-dump scheme probably gives him a few extra second chances in MAGA world, too.

Second, I think his H1-B comments are only disqualifying for the 4% of terminally online 20-30 year old MAGA guys who are redpilled on the JQ (jeet question). Most older people see him on Fox News occasionally and think "wow that articulate brown man sure does seem to know what he's talking about!" He'll have to have an answer prepared for the primary, but Vivek's talent is sounding confident and repackaging canned answers. Even if he hasn't changed his opinion, Vivek will dodge the question in a convincing enough way to satisfy most voters.
