Saw this around. Looks like Trump's bringing out new shit to give police new powers to take your guns should you get "civilly committed". Potential gungrab or something that might actually be useful, I'll let the thread decide.
It took me a bit to find the source for this, it was a 4;30 second video, i'm not sure what was cut out of it. What peaked my interest was nicholas cruz being mentioned, and low and behold. Pam bondi was AG of florida at this time. Cruz was in that state iirc.

Now, Trumped signed an executive order that;
On February 7, 2025, President Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at protecting and reinforcing Second Amendment rights. This order directs the Attorney General to review all federal actions—such as regulations, orders, and guidance—implemented during the Biden administration (from 2021 to 2025) that might infringe on the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. The stated goal is to ensure that the rights of law-abiding gun owners are safeguarded, with a specific focus on rolling back measures like regulations on "ghost guns," stabilizing braces for pistols, and other restrictions introduced under Biden. Within 30 days, the Attorney General must submit a plan to address any identified infringements, emphasizing a broad restoration of gun ownership rights. The order frames the Second Amendment as a fundamental safeguard of liberty and security, signaling a strong pro-gun stance.
That said, i dug deeper to see if anything has been said or talked about on red flag gun law bullshit, and i got this.
As for whether Trump still favors red flag gun laws, there’s no direct statement in this executive order or recent public remarks explicitly reaffirming or rejecting his earlier position. Historically, Trump expressed support for red flag laws—also known as Extreme Risk Protection Orders—following mass shootings in 2019, such as those in El Paso and Dayton. He advocated for measures to temporarily remove firearms from individuals deemed a risk to themselves or others, emphasizing "rapid due process." However, he later backed away from this position after pressure from gun rights groups like the NRA and conservative advisors, and no federal red flag legislation advanced during his first term.
Given the tone and intent of the February 2025 executive order, which focuses on dismantling gun control measures and protecting Second Amendment rights without mentioning exceptions for red flag laws, it seems unlikely that Trump currently favors them. His actions and rhetoric in 2025 align more closely with his campaign promises to gun owners and the NRA’s agenda, suggesting a shift away from his 2019 stance. Without a explicit statement from Trump in 2025 confirming his position, though, this is an inference based on his recent policy direction rather than a definitive conclusion.

end of snippet. I think folks need to realise 2024 Trump is a different animal than 2016-2020 trump. That said, folks need to be ready to push back very hard in any way they can on any sort of red flag law bullshit, it's one of the things that does make me real nervous.

I don't like or trust Bondi one bit, she's a goddamn snake, she was real friendly with Ben Crump way back when. She's one of the weakest parts of Trump's admin, and she's always been a bit of a gun grabber.
