Last I saw, the most sunny, optimistic accounting put Disney ~$1 billion in the hole since the purchase. I'd suspect the real number is at least 2-3x that, factoring in the park builds, IP devaluation, lack of merch sales, etc.

Maybe I'm retarded and behind the times but I was under the impression a lot of the nations gold supply is actually at the federal reserve. Fort Knox has been a smoke and mirrors OP since decades ago which is why they made such a big deal of their "audit" in the 70s.

Supposedly the fed building in NY has huge stores of not just our gold but the gold from other nation as well, buried under tons of rock, with tunnels running from the fed to various banking and finance institutions. In other words it is a shell game.

So if you take that into account the $42.22/Oz doesn't hold up. You have to use today's market price. (147,300,000 x 2896.51) = 426,655,923,000. 426.6 Billion USD at market value.
