Funny because I didn't actually substantiate this any more than the other claim, about the video in which she instructed her audience to brigade the intersex activist. I saw the video at the time, and I've read the Substack, but both statements were equally 'substantiated' in the post. I'm wearing a binder over a holter monitor, which is a medical device that can capture unusual heart rhythm events. The wires are circled. My doctor had me on both levonorgestrel implant, aka mirena, and depo provera injections. As far as I can tell, outside of gender affirming care, these two drugs are only combined when they're being prescribed for endometrial cancer treatment

You know, you could always ASK THE DOCTOR WHY instead of speculating. You could call your old doctor, ask for a copy of your chart because someone else needs your medical history, and read what it says. You don’t actually need to speculate. Maybe they did it for reasons related to your Eagle syndrome or your ‘not like other autism’ or one of your other plethora of conditions that make you special and NotLikeTheOtherGirlsOMGPickMe, Sierra.

Shortly after the first injection on top of the implant, I began to have symptoms from the medication combination: heart palpitations, tachycardia, dizziness, light-headedness, worsening chest pain, and a sense of doom, which led to an ER admission. ER referred me to primary who referred me to a specialist who recommended me to wear this monitor for a month.

Even though the symptoms are a known side effect of both hormones on their own, and the fact this was a combination of drugs, no one connected the dots at the time. No one suggested removing the implant or stopping injections or even taking off the binder. Ultimately I was told I had a panic disorder and needed therapy. It was medical gaslighting.

Sierra seems to think that re-uploading an entire TikTok video alongside a description of the video constitutes fair use (I disagree). It is true that she does sometimes provide a critique of the video, but a lot of the time there is no critique or commentary, she just summarises the video or gives an indication of its content (eg. this one: "Sasha Allen claims her doctor suggested injectable testosterone is easier to stockpile through overprescription in expectation of post-inauguration legal crackdowns. This seems illegal." I guess that last sentence does kinda constitute commentary, but I don't believe that it is enough to satisfy fair use criteria.)

Some degree of dissociation can fall within the realm of normal, ordinary human experience, even- "zoning out" while driving through Kansas being the common example. Being so stressed and distracted that you autopilot through work or home tasks and then can't recall doing them. These aren't mental illness, but simply a state of mind that can happen to anyone in the right conditions.

Even clinical dissociation is not what they want it to be. It's most commonly part of another disorder, especially anything in the anxiety disorders grouping. It's common in PTSD- "checking out" and feeling numb. It's relatively common in depression. And it's almost ubiquitous in panic disorder.

The whole "MPD" version with "alters" is pretty much only a creation of fiction and impressionable young girls who teach each other how to perform it in their little deranged adolescent cliques.

Also note how inconsistent Sierra’s descriptions of her early life are. This is someone whose family seems fairly stable and who got into Berkeley. It’s very unlikely she was being neglected, abused, or that her parents weren’t trying to get her therapy for her lack of social skills.

Dissociation in traumatized kids is usually seen in very traumatized kids whose parents are withholding food, waking them up so they can’t sleep through the night etc. Girls with anorexia sometimes get like, fuzzy and have trouble focusing.

But even kids with 1-2 traumatic experiences are not necessarily going to be dissociating a lot.

She’s just so full of it.

On the fair use issue, I can see taking a clip, commenting, then using another short clip. But most reaction channels wouldn’t take clips nearly as long as the ones she pulls. Some judges would definitely side eye her claims of fair use.
