I haven't bought nor read any of the Rippacomics, But judging from whatever reviews I've seen, they range from mediocre to meh to meat and potatoes. I have seen the art excerpts available online and it looks underwhelming. If I had to compare based on the limited art I've seen from the Rippa books, FROG's comics look better.
That said, being so-so is just enough to keep going for quite a while if you can stay consistent. Especially if you hustle to promote them like Eric July does.
People will often settle for the same repetitive, predictable tripe.... how the fvck could the Jurassic World movies be such box office smashes? Why would The Big Bang Theory last so many seasons? And don't tell me Spider Man has published sterling quality comics this past dozen years.
So yeah, the Rippaverse quality thing may just be a matter of not putting out offensive stuff or utterly dreadful donkey shit.
