Seeing Steve Bannon and others keep going on the stage at CPAC and doing Roman salutes reminded me of the South Park episode where Chris Hansen has his Dateline show ruined by a bunch of pedophiles coming into the studio and blowing their brains out.

Well, that will be too soft a landing. Nick will have minimal (for most people) criteria to meet to scoot away legally with little more than a skinned knee. Both he and Elon deserve much greater consequences.

Musk is intertwined with Trump at this point due to the fact that Musk is Trump’s senior advisor.

Musk’s stated goal is to reduce the federal bureaucracy, but he is going about it the most retarded way because he has no experience with government. The promise of 8 months of severance if you leave now? People had actual concerns if they could even get this money because it was not allocated by Congress. Fire all probationary employees? Blanket firings meant they lost key personnel and because all firings were justified with the copy-pasted statement of poor performance, the government is getting sued and may have to rehire all those employees. Send an email to OPM about last week’s work or you are fired? Turns out Elon has no authority to fire civil servants because he is not a government employee nor can the OPM fire someone from a different agency. There are also lawsuits against this action.

This is the bureaucratic equivalent of a Looney Tunes cartoon, with Elon’s ACME brand schemes blowing up in his face.

Elon will keep trying to get rid of an increasingly hostile bureaucracy with even more absurd ideas and then complain on Twitter that his illegal actions have been declared illegal. He is a lolcow and deserves to be laughed at.

Rate me late if it's already been said, but I don't think there actually is, or will be, a falling-out between Musk and Trump. Trump is keeping Musk around on purpose and putting him front-and-center to distract the media from talking about his own doings. Kind of like a medieval court jester distracting people from the King, basically. Hence Musk doing hitler salutes and waving chainsaws getting all the media attention, while Trump (comparatively quietly) signs dozens of executive orders a day and guts the government to replace with his loyalists.

Off topic but I think the Aztek has actually aged pretty well. Yes it's ugly but if it came out today, it would fit in with modern cars just fine.
