I think fortunately for all of us WarHammer fans that these games are just not really suitable for woke take over.

They did add Fantasy China, but I can't really call that woke as it makes sense here. If they added niggers, faggots and niggerfaggots to the Empire or something that would be it.

Dunno about you, but as soon as they revealed the American leader was Harriet Fucking Tubman, this game went on the "Avoid like the plague" list. After I saw the pictures of the devs, I knew this was the right decision. Oh well.

Anyone here tried Old World? i got it as a gift but never gave it a shot. Otherwise its back to Civ V for my 4x gaming needs.

You're better off passing if you find aspects of previous Civ games more appealing than the mechanics of this one. Regardless of the opinions expressed ITT by me and other members on the extremely hamfisted diversity options and questionable inclusions/exclusions (Great Britain as DLC, Buganda as a modern Civ, Harriet Tubman, etc.), it seems like the consensus with this one is: "You might like it if you enjoy treating the Civ games like a super-sweaty multiplayer competitive experience, but you'll dislike it if you were any other type of demographic the older versions appealed to."

Even then, as always with the Civ games, it's not even going to feel like a "complete" experience of the installment until they start jamming all the DLC into it, so if none of the flaws particularly dissuade you from it, I'd recommend at least waiting a few years down the line where you can get the "Anniversary Edition" or whatever they decide to call it for like, $20.

I just realize something, Civ 7 doesn't have a scenarios mode. Something that every mainline civ game has had since Civ 2.

The consequences of divorcing a Civilization from it's land and people, there's no pre-made maps either, including Earth, for the same reason.

Old World is fantastic, it's miles above the current Civ games. I highly recommend it.

Also, I've mentioned it before for the aesthetic style of the leaders, but even the wonders look much more majestic and inspiring, compare the angle of Angkor Wat where you're a mere human looking up a wonder, or even the pose of the Colossus facing the world vs the new animation where he's just standing.

It's hard to poz TW:Warhammer when it's already responsible for irreparably pozzing TW as a series.

Have you seen what they did to Elspeth von Draken?

That's her official GW art where she looks austere and even a bit severe, but not ugly on a fundamental level, oh, and she also has a woman's basic proportions despite GW being GW.

I've tried it serval times, with all the DLC and never could get into that game. It doesn't really feel or play like a 4x. You don't really do long term planning or have long term goals and you never snowball towards an end.
