Jon Stewart slicing his hand open tard-raging about DOGE

Credit where it’s due for getting through the segment. I’ll admit that I liked Stewart during my liberal youth. There’s a small part of me that feels sad seeing his lack of charisma in recent times. Nostalgia is a strange thing when it’s tied up with someone you now ideologically oppose.

Pete Hegseth just went off on the ACLU for trying to stop him from housing illegal immigrants at Gitmo: “I say BULLSHIT to the ACLU! They want to make America look bad and undermine our Commander-in-Chief.” He defended the facilities, calling them “top-notch” with full medical, dental, and religious accommodations.

Back in 2014, I completely agreed with anything he said, and I still consider his first Rob Ford coke segment pure fun, but now it's just sad. After people has seen behind the curtain, this all just seems pathetic. I was a fairly liberal dude in my youth but if I met my 20-year old self now I would slap him, hard. I'm not even American but the brainrot was fucking global and some aren't out of it yet (including my country).

I'm pro Canada being a US territory as long as every Canadian gets the same exact rights as guaranteed in the US constitution. Can you imagine how funny it would be that all of a sudden the leafs were granted rights under the first amendment? All of those bizarre tribunals that trannys like Yaniv go to complain to would fall apart immediately.
Canadians would theoretically get all the same rights. But I suspect that many Canadians would take advantage of that and wreck as much as they could out of spite.

I wish I had the level of retard confidence liberals did. One of my "friends" basically went on this whole tirade about how Musk is milking us for everything we're worth and Trump is full mask off doing exactly what Biden was doing (pillaging our country to line their own pockets) and I basically just asked him why he thinks that because the only reason to be afraid is if you're a fed or an illegal.

WHY do people think this? The economy at worst is pretty stagnant which isn't great but people are acting like it's going up when the only thing I've seen go up is eggs. I honestly just want an answer at this point even if I disagree.

They never explain their point and just call you an evil hitlerman (specifically a 4chan, kiwfarmer, and groyper lol which only one of those things are true.)

It baffles me how little they know about Republican and MAGA Culture because they can just close their ears and ignore it, the fact he put MAGA and Groyper in the same category and 4chan and kiwifarms kinda boggles my mind. This guy isn't a normie or anything he's relatively internet-saavy. It's just sad. You can't avoid these people in any other space but they can completely avoid and misrepresent you.

Sorry to sound like a doomer venting faggot today after not posting for a while, I may need to equip the burgersuit. I just hate the level of retard confidence these people have and that you essentially can't speak up and ask why they think like that.

I'm still happy we won I just needed a bit of a confidence boost because I feel like I'm too retarded to express my points a lot of the times so it feels like we're losing whenever I talk to these people

Also I guess a funny part, dude basically went on a tirade about how One Piece is a super liberal series and that made me laugh because it was in the context that Trump is an evil autocrat dictator and that Oda supporting him would be jarring. Thinking about the Trump Luffy memes here are great but I didn't bother bringing it up.

He still gets points from me for making Cuckbert squirm, only for suggesting that it makes sense that Covid came from a lab.
I haven’t watched any of the new TDS but I’m guessing his firmware was updated with the approved talking points.

Trump's comments on Ukraine during his cabinet meeting made me very optimistic about the situation with the war.

This mineral rights deal could place Ukraine under US economic control, halting Russian expansion, while pressuring the EU to invest in security, keeping Ukraine out of NATO like Russia wants, and enabling everybody to make money and be happy. Finally, an end to the bloodshed.

Meanwhile, in Germany,

HIER COMES ZHE ROCKETENSHOOTEN WITH ZHE GOOSE STEPPEN AND ZHE BIG KABOOM! MILLIONEN MUST DIE! WOLTEN IHR TOTALEN KRIEG?

Fuck the Cuckolden Demokraten Union, man. Refusing to work with the AFD even though it's clearly what the German people want.

So they would essentially get to be honorary NATO since with our investment and economic interest tied up there Russia attacking further would more or less guarantee article V.
If he pulls this off it will be as big as the camp David accords were, but there will be so many people wanting to fuck it up for him, including Russia and Ukraine.

Sure is nice to have Cabinet members who publicly call bullshit.

I don't recall if I got this from an article or a youtube video, but I guess the last time Canada really had an identity was when the Empire was still hanging in there and they were still more concretely ruled by London. They were some of the biggest patriots for the Empire (plus those weird ultra Catholic potato mashers) and some of the fiercest Royal Army soldiers not from the UK proper in the world wars. Then the empire disintegrated. Then they adopted that constitution that declared Canada multicultural (we promise it's just about the potato mashers)

I'd say that Jon Stewart's biggest shortcoming was bowing out and letting Trevor Noah take the reins for the Daily Show from 2015 to 2022. I don't like Trevor Noah as a host; he's not funny and has no charisma (at least to me). Having said that: Noah was basically the face of the Daily Show throughout all of Trump's first term and the first half of Biden's, when the most political upheaval and news cycle lunacy was at its peak.

Jon Stewart taking the reins back after an ~9 year absence shows that he was picking up where he left off... and that's precisely the problem. Will older millennials, maybe a few Gen Xers and boomers here and there, find it great he's picked up right where he left off? Sure. I even found myself quietly chuckling at a few jokes Jon made here and there because his timing and delivery were nostalgic on some level. The problem is that he's treating the Daily Show as if he was just fresh off the heels of the Obama administration, heading into a tumultuous first Trump term.

Maybe it was for the best that Jon stayed out of the public limelight for nearly a decade to spend time with his family in retirement. At least we didn't see his devolution from beloved liberal icon to ornery, out-of-touch, old coot.

Canada is not a country. It's an economic zone designated as pajeet dumping ground.
