So they would essentially get to be honorary NATO since with our investment and economic interest tied up there Russia attacking further would more or less guarantee article V.
If he pulls this off it will be as big as the camp David accords were, but there will be so many people wanting to fuck it up for him, including Russia and Ukraine.

I am not sure Russia will care. In fact they might like it. They get to have their territorial gains, and never wanted all of Ukraine to begin with, while also keeping Ukraine as a buffer state and in a form that it cannot really join NATO.


Russia gets its main objective, the U.S. gets it's money back with interest, Europe is left in a state where it is easier to strong arm into increasing it's military spending but not in a state where it can really aggress against Russia.

All in all, besides theatrics, what is there for Russia to actually complain about?

I'd say that Jon Stewart's biggest shortcoming was bowing out and letting Trevor Noah take the reins for the Daily Show from 2015 to 2022. I don't like Trevor Noah as a host; he's not funny and has no charisma (at least to me). Having said that: Noah was basically the face of the Daily Show throughout all of Trump's first term and the first half of Biden's, when the most political upheaval and news cycle lunacy was at its peak.

Jon Stewart's biggest failing is that he started caring more about whether or not his show might convince someone it's okay to not Vote Blue No Matter Who than being funny. Sure, his disingenuous nose on/nose off thing was obnoxious, but when his show was fresh, he came off as a liberal funny man who found his own party's corruption and pandering almost as bad as the Republicans'. But then he did the same OH MY GOD NO DEMOCRATS AREN'T THAT BAD YOU GOTTA COME OUT AND VOTE FOR THEM OR HITLER WINS!!! thing every other libtard does, and his value dropped to zero.

Credit where it’s due for getting through the segment. I’ll admit that I liked Stewart during my liberal youth. There’s a small part of me that feels sad seeing his lack of charisma in recent times. Nostalgia is a strange thing when it’s tied up with someone you now ideologically oppose.
