I mean considering JT has since said that he's going to be a lot more intensive on how he vets his sources from now on, I'm not sure how this whole situation looks bad on JT's part whatsoever (except to people who already hated his ass).

An actively malicious person who's in the same social media bubble as someone that's currently suing JT took an employees private info and impersonated them so they could feed fake rumors to JT in a self admitted attempt to harm JT's reputation and discredit him.

Besides it being straight up criminal in multiple countries, and also endangering the reputation of the person Omar impersonated, it's not very convincing for a "JT never vets his sources" narrative when the only really public time he's been duped so far is from a troll job from someone who made up a story specifically to discredit him, which are inherently unusual circumstances.
