Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Oh and the sperging about the suit. Lmao. Guy tried to pull off showing up like a bum yet again to beg like a bum, but decided to be indignant and ungrateful instead.

10/10 comedy.
I've noticed something fairly obvious about this ordeal that no one else has pointed out it seems, and I'm a socially inept sperg.

Zelensky went to the US to negotiate. He wasn't sitting in his war room giving a speech to his people about how he'll defend his country, he was going abroad to negotiate terms that would help end the war, with how little Ukraine could gain from a plea deal after 3 years of a war that cannot be won. The way you dress according to situation tells a lot about you and your intentions. If you dress like Tommy Vercetti or Julian from Trailer Park Boys every day, you're not gonna wear the same get-up when you go to a job interview, you're gonna wear something a bit more presentable.

So what does Zelensky tell everyone when he barges into the White House in his usual "brave little soldier" outfit? That he doesn't want to negotiate, he doesn't want peace. He wants to keep on fighting and continue the war, and he told everyone that that was his intention from the moment he walked into the White House wearing that. If he's flabbergasted everyone mocked him for not wearing a suit, he should do a little introspection, because what he did is an equivalent of being invited to a ball, and arriving in a tracksuit. It's beyond tone deaf.

Obviously European media will keep up their usual propaganda rhetoric of how it was all Trump's fault, how Zelensky is fighting a war so he has the right to dress like a slob on every occasion and yadda yadda brainwash the masses keep the show going. This won't change the fact that Zelensky has done a "public relations 101" level of fundamental fuck-up.

If you're invited to negotiate diplomatic terms, don't dress up like you're heading for the frontline.

Did Trump cunningly lead lil’ Z into a trap or did Zelensky royally fuck up?
Zelensky may have fucked up in numerous ways, but I believe it was fucked up before he even set foot in the room. By the time he did, Trump had almost certainly decided on the outcome he wanted and as Trump could so easily have changed the outcome he got, we can assume the desired and actual outcome matched. This isn't to say there isn't genuine anger on Trump's part. I believe there is. But it's not solely directed at Zelensky and Trump is not pinballing around on impulse. Kiev has catastrophically fucked up throughout this war but I've always tended to share the blame around for that. Can't pin it all on Zelensky when the guy is so much a proxy for other players. Zelensky is riding the tiger like no other this past year. Doesn't want to be up there, doesn't dare get down.

And most importantly, scares Europe even more into increasing their military spending. Division of labor, letting Europe hold the bag so the USA can bow out of the war.
Good catch. Make that four goals.

I remember reading that it's really more of a matter of having the industry in place to extract those minerals, which is a tremendously polluting and dirty industry.

Of course the US would never have it in their lands, which is why China does it instead.
The "rare" in rare earth minerals doesn't mean they're rare in the traditional sense. it just means they're typically not found in large ore bodies like other minerals. instead they are dispersed as small particles throughout the soil and rock, or as small nodes of ore or small veins called "stringers" in rock. Mining them requires processing a large amount of waste material to get usable amounts of ore, so a large amount of initial investment is needed to get set up and start churning through soil and rock before any major returns are seen. US investors have become increasingly averse to any sort of risk or delayed gratification, and so investing in mines like that is not very sought after, even if it would be immensely profitable down the line.

As for the environmental side of things, that's more of a financial issue than an actual environmental impact issue. Every mine operating in the US has to have plans on how to minimize or completely eliminate their impact on the local environment, and how to eventually rehabilitate the land so it's like the mine was never even there. But those plans and rehabilitation projects cause a lot of time, effort, and most importantly money, so investors would much rather fund a mine in China where they don't give a shit.

edit: you can include Canada when I say US cause most US mining corpos are joint US/Canadian ventures, US and Canadian mines operate under basically the same environmental and labor laws (and lack of willing investors). Canada likely has a lot more rare earth minerals than that chart shows, they're just not even considered viable because of investment and environmental concerns (which again is not a concern about the actual environmental aspects, just investors not wanting to have to lose any tiny bit of profit to having to care about it)

It really strikes me how utterly childish a lot of the responses to this are. 'Trump and Vance are bullies'. These people should be in an institution. They can't parse anything, even great power politics, through any frame other than Craig shoving them into a locker in 10th grade. Grow the fuck up, you probably deserved it then and you definitely still deserve it now.

Seriously tho' will we finally get confirmation of Z-Mans drug habit? It pisses me off that he's pictured as a saint here in Europe and oh so brave when he's a fucking coke head. I want all these people to realize that they've cheered on an addict.

I could see the Ukies try and blame the snow for this.

I'm sure standing up to those meanie bullies will stop the bombs and missiles aaaaaany moment now.

Oh....wait a sec.....

Trump had one job: Take a weak leader, who is extremely vulnerable and desperate, and make a simple deal revolving around mineral rights in exchange for protection against a country that, frankly, we already fight through proxies anyway and who is a significant threat to democracy.
Your cherished "democracy" was dead for centuries,, possibly millenias, old man.

I tell you more, for at least two centuries the entirety of the world have lived under anything but democratic regimes. They simply do not and have never existed after the downfall of Ancient Greece and Rome's desecration.

First.

Second, we aren't your enemies you fucknuckle. For more than 20 years after USSR' dissolution all what we wanted is just to be left alone by you, let us and our inner biz work out the natural way yet to consider an opportunity to accept us into your faggotry clubs such as WEF, NATO, etc.

You refused, you've kept poking us ever before WW1, despite the fact that MY county have HELPED YOURS to become the way it is today, via helping fleet's hand and volunteers that saw your wish of independency from British Crown to be a noble cause.

You faggots forget your history while we have to remember and learn it in schools while our own keep being dragged through the mud by everyone.
Learn to appreciate that we are not akin to you and your chickenhawks.

Absolutely surreal display. Would it kill this clown to put on a suit and at least pretend to be serious, given the gravity of his situation?
NGL. Would have been a nice dis to the eurocucks if Zelensky had shown up in a suit and said something about “It’s not every day you get invited by Donald Trump to the White House and I wanted to be dressed for the occasion!”

Speaking of…

significant threat to democracy
LOL, LMAO what democracy?
  • AIPAC
  • superPACS in general
  • lobbying in general
  • illegals and dead people voting by the millions
  • people being bussed around to vote multiple times
  • fake mail-in ballots
And if the election still doesn't go the way they want it to despite the rampant rigging, they scream and cry about "election interfence" and "muh russia". EU is even worse lol, they just straight up cancel elections if they don't like the results.

I think this might be important here

But Joe Biden really did get more votes than Obama - no malarkey! 😏

Not wearing a suit is to signal dominance, he did a bit too much coke and tried to be the dominant force in this negotiation lmao Image rolling into America from your Eastern Euro shithole IN A HOODIE and starting a shouting match with POTUS and his VP in front of cameras what the fuck
