Zelensky really should have gotten a translator. His English is poor and he struggled to make a point. His worry about Russia not being a reliable deal keeper really could have been expressed quicker and better . His comment about US possibly being attacked by Russia one day came across as a threat.
His body language was awful. I don't know if Trump and Vance have been media trained but they both had their arms and knees opened when they were sitting down and Zelensky was just all closed off.
Also, Zelensky came across extremely self entitled. I mean he can't demand that the US keeps fighting Ukraine's war. Has he not figured out that it's a proxy war and that the outcome was decided probably years ago?
Ukraine was given so much money and so much help, they clearly aren't going to win. And while my heart bleeds for all these poor civilians who've lost everything, the truth is that Ukraine is a shitty invaluable country with nothing to offer. Zelensky needs to stop acting like he's a leader of a western global superpower.
Reddit aside, but the comments everywhere else seem to be siding with him and outraged about Trump's behaviour. Im really not getting it.
