I'm going to suggest that what we're seeing with Grift Gang is part of a broader pattern with Yaba (and Samantha, once she and Yaba get together):

A work in progress, so criticism is much appreciated!

1. Yaba forms an eye-lie-ance with with someone, often to bolster her position in a community
2. Once secure in the community, Yaba introduces criticism of the eye-lie (predicated on "grifting"), usually on Twitter
3. If/When the target responds to the criticism, Yaba begins producing YouTube content on the target -- at first, focused on the "grift," then pivoting to the target's personal life
4. If/When the target threatens to respond in kind, Yaba preemptively addresses the criticisms she thinks the target will present

At this point, the target may withdraw -- Yaba will continue to make remarks about the target but quickly loses interest

If, however, the target does not withdraw...

5. Yaba claims the target is (i) trying to "burn down" the community, (ii) weaponize his/her audience against Yaba, (iii) turn Yaba's audience against her

At this point, Yaba turns over to Samantha the bulk of YouTube discussion -- resumes fatty content full-time (usually following a This is the last time I'm addressing this-style stream)

7. Yaba claims the target is trying to remove her from the platform and threatens to report the target's content to YouTube (and may do so, or direct her audience to do so)

Historically, Yaba has been able to push her target off the platform (Ron, Callie) or marry the target (Samantha). Then she's able to set the narrative going forward. The Grift Gang conflict, however, really seems to have disrupted things.

We are at that stage in the Samantha Jean cycle of futility where she deletes everything, goes quiet, locks all her social media and comes back rebranded under a new name! (This time the L in tefler is moved all the way left to tlefer or something equally gay)

I follow next to nothing of Girl World save through this thread; it’s too complicated and incestuous for my feeble brain. I sometimes waste too much time racking my brain trying to figure out how supposed adults can sink to that level of school yard squabbling.

Investigations and copious ‘files’ and all that nonsense is just surreal. What would these people do if they were to lose their platforms? Do they really have nothing better to do than spin their wheels like this?

Every time I’m having a not so great day, I remind myself I’m not involved in those ridiculous games.

Normal, functioning adults are fascinating to these people. When you look at their life, families, friends and choices, you realize that “normal” day to day life of normal people, is an alien world to them.

For whatever reason him being fairly adjusted offline and be capable of having a normal life AND stream messy drama is enough for all these people to harbor massive resentment and jealousy over him. He has a seemingly nice house, he's clean and he's a good son taking care of his sick mother.
Personally I know how taking care of a sick/dying parent alone is and it can be draining. I'm impressed he has enough gas in the tank to do everything else on top of it.

And the most important part he's not fucking batshit crazy. Like, the stuff he says just makes sense. It's logical. Its.... grounded in reality. I think GG loves the drama more than he cares to admit. The whole "can't be bothered" act he does is a little eye rolling. He has a way about him that if there is no drama he will go stir some up. But it's not like delusional drama. It makes sense.

He's a little drama whore like the rest of 'em as much as he likes to pretend he's some victim that's only defending himself. Cause he could really leave the drama for good if he wanted to. He doesn't. Because he does like streaming about it in his own way.

But what he says makes sense. It's logical. I don't have to suspend my understanding of reality to believe it. He shows receipts. He laughs at how cringe it is. He's a drama whore but he's not trying to take me for a ride. It's good entertainment.

Sam and Yaba on the other hand.... They are just liars. And I don't mean that in the school yard insult kind of way. I mean in order to believe anything they say you have to be willfully ignorant and have an agenda you're trying to pursue (that agenda normally being trying to hurt somebody really bad for no reason at all cost)
