The all seem to be in polyamorous relationships whilst pretending to be in normal relationships and if anyone has ever met straight polyamorous people they know that they‘re all broken people who exist on copium due to having to pretend not to jealous all the time.

It's an open joke / meme that gay men are the only ones who can 'make it work,' and jokes and memetics have origins in truth.

It isn't ALL. But it is a LOT. A LOT. Of guys. A disturbingly worrying amount of guys. When you factor in men like the people in this thread, like Noodlesandbeef and his now dead boyfriends, it becomes a lot darker of a conversation because of what isn't really out in the open.

I might need more time to think on why this is the case, but you're completely correct. Polyamory is commonly practiced and joked about. It's just kind of adapted itself to the subculture and it's been made to work in a very normalized way.

The best I can guess for now is that maybe some aspect of themselves has snuffed the concept of jealousy out of their heads, because that same part is what has turned intimacy into something so openly sexual? So long as is everyone is in on it, aware, open, and honest, it's fine. That kind of thought process. It's a form of free love that's been made to work because they've had so long to perfect it.

Add bugchasers who don't disclose that they're infected into the mix, and this memetic polyamory now becomes a nightmare. That's hellworld shit.

It stems from a fundamentally nihilistic worldview. When you get down to it, there's no reason that a gay person should value sex as something more intimate than, say, eating or sleeping -- they're all activities that exist purely to fulfil a particular drive & generate nothing. There's no more reason to be jealous that your boyfriend screwed another guy than there is to be jealous that they went & played tennis together. The only difference is the amount of skin-to-skin contact involved.

I'm beginning to think that there's something about engaging in gay relationships that throws your psyche off balance. You stumble upon some unsettling implications if you question yourself too hard.

Unsettling sure, but I'm not convinced your average faggot really questions their morals and actions. Half of it just seems like pure rebellion, see for example Pride parades, and the rest just degeneracy and hedonism.

That mindset is genuinely so fucking depressing. Love has been devalued so much that it's just a physical sensation and nothing more worthwhile, like a bond on an emotional and mental level. I already knew this but didn't attribute it to nihilism, just a symptom of things being oversexualized as a rule.

I would say it isn't engaging in gay relationships, or hell, it could be, but it's compiled on top of engaging and believing the taught behaviors and philosophies associated with being a gay man. Either or or both, it's a rot that needs to be addressed but no one with a sizable platform will.

The average one? No, absolutely not. Pushing against the system and breaking boundaries is installed as a core value and is normalized in their eyes. Any who break the mold can be found as an estranged critic or Log Cabin Republican-type who are open about it and have found some sense of balance, or still in the closet and essentially a coward for not speaking out against what's wrong with how things are.

I don't even think they consciously rebel at this point, because there's nothing to really rebel against. There's no point to Pride parades other than as a victory lap if you're a gay man, but that's very fucking retarded and you'd be smarter to just not lump yourself in with the crowd as it is now.

I personally believe there is a chance to heal, I think there is a chance to get better, grow, learn, and actually work past the dogma that's been set in stone.

But there's less of a chance people like bugchasers heal or get better. They are very fucking far gone. If there's any sort of spring cleaning, they should be on the top of or near the top of the priority list.

They are rebelling against two things: their parents, and the silent majority who still considers their behavior to be gross despite how common and banal it is at this point. The latter will always exist no matter how loudly and aggressively the LGBTQ community tries to browbeat everyone into being OK with their shenanigans.

Poly people who are legit happy are that way because they aren't in a legit relationship and not actually bonded to the people they're involved with. It's why a lot of gay/bi couples can sleep around and not care, it's fundamentally not the same type of relationship and they do not have the feelings for each other normal people have when bonded. I've known of a few gay couples though that were legit monogamous and they did legit care for each other, you can really tell the difference in the energy and way they care for each other. Just saying you're together is different from actually being bonded. Gay and bi men really need to work harder at divorcing themselves from "the community" as individuals and from normies perceptions. A lot of LGB stuff is basically just a sex cult and that is and can be separated from your sexuality. It makes me MATI so many young and vulnerable are pushed into it because it's sold that there "isn't anywhere else to go". Being the silent majority isn't going to cut it if people like those featured in this thread are the increasingly public face and nothing is done to get them to shut up and stop being problems.
