Mega Rad Gun Thread

safety harbor has their MP5 tailhook A3 type brace back in stock, i find out about this 3d printed lower super safety nonsense, and i'm at a point in time where i need to not blow the dough on it. what can you do?
Wait for the Leber V2 housing. Should be released this year.
Will have a stamped sheetmetal housing that drops into the 3d printed grip.

ditch mags, they barely work on a SAW,
I know, but people always ask; may as well have a few to showcase that they have feed problems. No lie, taken it to the range twice, and everybody who wanders over asks about how it handles regular magazines; and even then, it only handles the generic USGI magazines better than others. All your fancy Mag Pul and everything else brings more problems than not.

So apparently Pietta of italy will be making a Colt Python copy using the original action. MSRP will be 1,000 USD. This is strange and i don't know how well it will sell. the original action on the python was weak and goes out of time when shooting .357 mag. the new colt python has a new action and is made to a very high quality that i question if pietta can match for just 1,000 dollars. plus, a actual colt Python does not cost much more than a 1,000 anyway. so i question the viability of this gun.

I wish they would instead make an 1892 or similar, those things are absolutely trashed on the secondhand market.

i would pay good money for a stainless Webley Mk 1 4" service revolver in 9mm with moon clips. different and modern and the heavy steel frame should be fine for 9mm loads.

in other news, Clymer is modifying a .45 reamer for my .45 win mag USP project. am excite.

Alright another fun questions for kiwis whats your favorite AR-alternative? I recently decided to drop some cash on a new mini 14 and excited to pimp it out sucks the stainless models run an extra 200 more from an already steep price tag any bullpup fans?

ARX100

neat! as far as i can tell the skoprints lower can be ordered with everything needed installed so that all i have to do is swap lowers. would this be the case with the leber?
Yeah I'm sure multiple people will be selling kits once it's finished it's beta testing.
Skoprints didn't create that housing; it's just someones FOSS (Free and Open Source) design that he prints and sells parts for. I wouldn't be surprised if Sko starts selling the Leber V2 as well.

I know it takes a few hundred dollars to get set up a SS on an MP5 so figured it might be worth the wait for something that should be significantly better.

Steyr AUG A3. Though, if I had to do it over again I'd probably go with the X95 Tavor since it's less of a pain to suppress and takes regular ol' AR mags. When I bought my AUG A3 the X95 had yet to make it to the US civilian market and only the standard Tavor was available, and I never liked the "trigger" style mag release on it. Always seemed like it had a good chance of getting snagged on your web gear and dropping the mag.

Agreed, I've enjoyed my X95. The front sight is a little chunky, but if you're gonna drop about 2k on a rifle you're gonna get a scope/red dot.
