The problem with this, is that we don't have the power to stop Russian advancement at this point, without an escalation. We can keep giving them money but that won't solve the manpower problems. We need to up our production of munitions to match what Russia is able to bring to the front but that could take months or years.
As an army brat, I assume it goes where a significant portion of our military funding goes (as opposed to you know, the troops) - straight into the contractors pockets. Hence, the age old joke "military grade = cheapest quality imaginable, for an astronomical price".
