Magic The Gathering

I have no idea what the fuck they're doing and now I'm quite sure they also have no idea what the fuck they're doing. The Kellan arc idea wasn't the worst IN THEORY but it was executed so shittily. The only good thing I'm getting out of this whole debacle is that magic will potentially die and then I won't have to spend money on it anymore. I think I'm done after FF anyway but still.

I actually like this card. Great for my discard EDH deck.

Edit:shit missed the last sentence.

Yeah, it's more group hug, or maybe something to help your opponents with milling shit into the trash for a deck that can reanimate other peoples stuff if you aren't in blue for normal milling.
I feel like it will be kinda like wishclaw, sure it has a downside of allowing opponent getting value, but if you are a discard deck it probably is still good.

I cant wait to see this bust Dredge

My first reaction was chaos, you could use it on opponents who don't use their yard then use Warp World or something similar before they can retaliate.

I’m honestly interested in putting this in my Blim deck. It allows me to politic some good faith by binning some stuff I can plead to not wanting to hurt the table with yet, and offer cards while also forcing extra ‘I don’t own this’ damage. Sucks it’s got such a goofy name or that Green Goblin doesn’t fit with Blim’s vibes.

What is a imp but a goblin with wings? - Aristotle, probably.

I don't get the flavor of it at all.
Flavor on all of them except maybe Venom sucks (not sure I get him being a shitty scooze but vigilance and menace and getting big check out)

Spiderman most defining features are web swinging and danger sense, and we got a 3/3 with no evasion or protection
Green Goblin is a human but they made him a shitty goblin tribal guy for no reason.
Doc Ock is an inventor, but they need to stop making everything octopus related 8 related it's at least the 3rd time they've done and they only get worse. Also he's hilariously overcosted for a 8/8 with no keywords that can make another shitty 8/8 without keywords per turn.
Pumpkin Bombs got some random hot potato thing
Grasping Tentacles seems like a CC effect or a steal for something on the board not a reanimator and doesn't even seem playable in Doc Ock since he gives zero fucks about mill.

Didn't even see the other cards but damn are they dumb looking at them now. I have no idea why they made Green Goblin a goblin, they may as well have made Doc Ock an octopus by that logic. At least with Spiderman you can argue he had spider DNA in him so he has some vague connection to spiders even if it's a stretch.

Honestly I think Doc Ock is retarded but fun.

(also, I'm laughing, I'm not really offended by you - yes, they are incredible autistic retards, I could also vent.)

Unmatched did a way better job with Spidey.

So what is there in terms of product releases this year out of curiosity?

Dragons, FF, Spider-man, Eternity and Avatar? Surely there are other sets on top of this because of Wizards? These UB just feel like Un sets and I don't think they attract new players our locals have had the same 6 people for FNM and the same 20 for pre-release for years.

I think that's true enough but there's nothing to cook with on a 7 mana commander. He needed some text like "costs X less where X is the highest mana value of a noncreature artifact you control" or another line that makes him care about something because the only synergy he has with anything in Dimir is extra turns as a backwards way to get extra combats. His shit makes vehicles less bad but he's in the worst colors for it. I think at the very least he should have been Grixis to throw 8/8 treasure tokens at people.

Only if you count the secret lair scheduled to release in April 2025, and even that is a borderline licensed set because it's all d&d tie ins.

You are Kiwis, you aren't part of any (((COMMUNITY))), I imagine you are all like me where you try to tolerate the idiocy just so you can actually play the game at all.

I am gonna assume the supplemental sets are gonna have a bunch of dumbfuck shit in it like the FF commander ones seem to at this point.

By far his best application is teaming up with the Mishra commander.

You can do some degenerate stuff getting extra artifacts a turn.
