most European countries don't have enough military personnel.
The diagram shows the answer to the question "would you fight for your country?" Let's give the euros their due - would YOU want to fight for England, or France, or Germany? Would you want to risk your life at the order of their politicians? The only countries left worth dying for are not within Europe.
I don't know if Trump [... has] been media trained
Trump, who rose to public prominence as the host of the hit show - The Apprentice? I'm sure he has no media training.

That's roughly like saying Frank Sinatra rose to public prominence with "Ol' Blue Eyes Is Back"

so glancing online looks like fox now has lined up for today
1030a UK PM talking after the summit
2p Melania doing some publicity shit for "Take It Down Act" which sounds from the name like it'll run afoul of dox- ... phonebooksings
3p Linda Mac gets a vote later today in the senate to head the death of the Dept Of Education

Not to mention a literal part of America's 90s affirmations genre. Or maybe 80s. It was a meme for business executives to read his book, which goes to show how abstract it is. I'm sure there are business inferences to be made from "considering the terrain" and "using fire," but it was pretty funny how prevalent it was. Some guys probably just need a superficial excuse like "this is about combat" to be able to dip into philosophy and the arts without feeling gay.
“Cocaine is a hell of a drug”

If anyone wants to read a real treatise on war, it’s called “on war” by Carl Von Clausewitz.

It’s imperfect because he died before he could edit it together coherently, but his widow made a valiant attempt. The most ubiquitous takeaway from it is “War is an extension of politics.”

People could bear to remember that, considering recent headlines. Wars happen for political reasons and require political solutions. Continuing to fight until there are no enemies left is almost always a bad fucking idea and leaves you with no resources to address anything else.

"To require covered platforms to remove nonconsensual intimate visual depictions, and for other purposes."

most relevant part;
“(A) INVOLVING ADULTS.—Except as provided in subparagraph (C), it shall be unlawful for any person, in interstate or foreign commerce, to use an interactive computer service to knowingly publish an intimate visual depiction of an identifiable individual who is not a minor if—
“(i) the intimate visual depiction was obtained or created under circumstances in which the person knew or reasonably should have known the identifiable individual had a reasonable expectation of privacy;
“(ii) what is depicted was not voluntarily exposed by the identifiable individual in a public or commercial setting;
“(iii) what is depicted is not a matter of public concern; and
“(iv) publication of the intimate visual depiction—
“(I) is intended to cause harm; or
“(II) causes harm, including psychological, financial, or reputational harm, to the identifiable individual.

also some CSAM provisions but that's less interesting, CSAM is already 98 billion shades of illegal adding another law won't do much.
In addition, they're making it illegal to 'shop someone into porn.

I love this. Let’s cut a DMZ along the Canadian border and use the wood to lower the price of home construction.

Imagine being able to afford amateur carpentry as a hobby again.

Real estate agents most affected due to commission structure
It's great but softwood trees, which are primarily what we get from Canada, take years to grow so we won't see immediate benefits for a while. Still a step in the right direction though

Another part that might be relevant to @Null is this, should it pass;
(A) ESTABLISHMENT.—Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, a covered platform shall establish a process whereby an identifiable individual (or an authorized person acting on behalf of such individual) may—
(i) notify the covered platform of an intimate visual depiction published on the covered platform that—
(I) includes a depiction of the identifiable individual; and
(II) was published without the consent of the identifiable individual; and
(ii) submit a request for the covered platform to remove such intimate visual depiction.
EFF also has a post about it. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/...t-threatening-free-expression-and-due-process

Immediate benefits are that chicoms and Somalians can’t just sneak through the woods into our country. As someone who’s driven over the US/Canadian border, and also seen maps, its thousands of miles of forest.

If you clear the trees, you can use drones and cameras to at least SEE what’s crossing the border

In America’s most surprising cutting-edge classes, students pursue hands-on work with wood, metals and machinery, getting a jump on lucrative old-school careers. School districts around the U.S. are spending tens of millions of dollars to expand and revamp high-school shop classes for the 21st century. They are betting on the future of manual skills overlooked in the digital age, offering vocational-education classes that school officials say give students a broader view of career prospects with or without college. With higher-education costs soaring and white-collar workers under threat by generative AI, the timing couldn’t be better.

How does it define "intimate visual depiction"?
Wait....scandi's don't wash their hands after taking a shit? Can someone confirm?
Europeans in general are too cool for washing their hands.
