A troll that went throught THAT much effort would definately post that C&D. I agree with the definate bait out though.Either bored troll, or somebody trying really hard to bait their old favorite cow out of retirement. It would be really funny if he deleted everything because he got a Cease & Desist from the real Dobson after posting that comic.
Instead of spending 5 years in therapy, he should have spent those 5 years practicing drawing instead. At least he got this part down before he deleted.

It's nice to gather 'round the campfire every once in a while.Well, at the very least, it was nice seeing this thread as active as it was while Dobson was around, even for a little while.
I was going to post this same exact comic to make my own case, nice ninja. The hands are a tip-off too.View attachment 7041615
If you actually fall for this you're retarded. This doesn't look like how Dobson draws at all. Now it's possible he's degraded in his absence but there's things just fundamentally off.

Take this random blue bear era comic for example. Notice how in each one Dobbear isn't drawn in a totally stiff straight pose and there's always a bit of intentional asymmetry to the drawing? Dobson might be a bad artist but he's classically trained and those are Preston Blair fundamentals he would've no doubt studied in his college years.

It really was a fun week on here reminiscent of a time where the worst people online were just butthurt artists. It's nice to gather 'round the campfire every once in a while.
He threw in the towel as soon as he joined back. What is his endgoal? At least he got this part down before he deleted.

This sounds like investigative journalistI'm going to say that a big part of the reason why there aren't lolcows 'like in the good ole days' is because the Internet and lolcow culture have grown so much. Most people with threads here have acknowledged the concept in some capacity so they self police. Only bonafide degenerates produce enough to be considered true lolcows. The self-righteous/sociopath a-log question. All these boxes are open and consequences will never be the same.
My own passion project lolcow is like a mini-Dobson. Fat, balding neckbeard with the right side of history politics. Terminally online, so sexually repressed you can notice by just looking at him. Pick-me behaviour. Wants to be seen as a true artist but spends too much time seething about what others say of him. Nostalgia driven consoomer with unpopular takes on media he has gotten bodied for. Worships McDonald's and has a specific day of the week to eat fast food. Largely known as a punchline on his own corner of the Internet.
Unlike the Son of Dob really bitchmade for confrontation outside of his own fans and so self-aware his work is a metaphorical groundhog that could serve to cure insommia.
Dobson and MovieBob are of a rare breed and the fact they exist serves to keep the next generation from acting out.
Patrick S. Tomlinson embodies a lot of these attributes, only he's a writer instead of an artist. My own passion project lolcow is like a mini-Dobson. It’s was likely some weenor who duped the internet into thinking Dobbo Slobbo is back. Endgoal probably was be some sort of Liquid Dobson. Looks like it never panned out.He threw in the towel as soon as he joined back. What is his endgoal?
The chest/stomach in the new art is drawn too small, Arm proportions are wonky, and finger positioning. As much as Dobson cant draw fingers, I recall he was able to draw characters holding a cup decently. Also I dont recall Blue Bear’s eyes being drawn like that.View attachment 7041615

I disagree. Consider that he wanted to get into Hollywood not as a creator, but as an 'ideas guy' who got other people to do the work for him. Basically a producer, but without even having to do the work of a producer. This is a man who 3D printed other people's models and wanted to sell them without giving credit or filing down the edges to make them look better.Real Dobson would never use AI. He's lazy but not in that way.
I'm not sure about that. Using AI would have made him a pariah in many circles. I know he was tactless, but I'm not sure if it would go that far. He definitely would have used AI art at the beginning of the fad, but definitely not now that it's so controversial. If he could, he absolutely would use AI to generate his artwork for him. And then complain that people were being mean because it would be so obvious it was AI.
I honest-to-God would not be surprised if Andrew bailed on the Internet at the behest of his family or therapist, did the social media detox to prove he could do it, and then stayed away from the Internet when he realized how much happier he was for it. It's also possible that his therapist convinced him that his art ambitions were going nowhere, he wasn't enjoying it, it was making him miserable, and that he became a different person with different needs. So there is still hope Dobson actually got a life now? I will take everything bad I said about him if he makes a KF account and tells us what really happened to him and is able to prove he is doing better in life and not stagnating like has been in the past.
