After the lack of direction on streamstars yesterday I'm happy to see some more "mods" getting involved again. I think the cryo crash out humbled mints a bit to maybe call for more assistance?
AB_ who has been frequently coming by in chat has spent the early day with interviewing all the streamers to sniff out drama and alliances and tease a long term challenge idea.
Mints also mentioned that it's not just going to be him anymore when asked for challenges.
AB_ then came back to introduce factions and asked everyone to align themselves to one given on characteristics of them and sport that color on their stream. The specifics don't appear to be really posted anywhere on the site so I'll note them down here:
Not too long after this they put up an audience vote for some easy points for an entire team (which the blue ones won). Some people were a bit mad since Aperture (blue) gifted season passes (which is powerful given that you can only vote once) and some probable reds with plenty of viewers weren't on yet (vecmen, dingus).
This faction thing will continue but they don't need to rep those colors all the time if it's not going on.
AB_ brought along some other colored names/mods including steinful who were asking/collecting clips so there is a small teaser up now:
They also fixed perms and stuff so they could actually hand out points as well as fixing the scoreboard as mod awarded points were multiplied.
To finish of the day a quite radical "Simon's says" session was played for points. "Do what TTS says" and be rewarded on how hard you go at it. Given the amount of cams they had to watch this was questionably fair with only partial rewards for doing things being given out or in unequal weights. Since I was only watching one cam I can't really speak for everyone but that was certainly how it appeared.
Mid challenge they started a vote with the option of completely removing points being well over 40% of the vote, but loosing to keeping the status quo.
(Ironically a pay pig could remove those points from everyone at any time they wanted,.)
I think VanceVictim2018 ended up getting the most attention for doing pretty much all the things asked of him except burning the american flag. the piss jugs he collected were in heavy focus, starting out with having to kick them around, to pour it over him to actually drinking a shot of pee. he also licked some of his vomit he cooked up.
Funnily enough the two Indian AI guys he had running from an earlier bit ended up providing quite a lot of support as they were discussing what the fuck was getting requested of him and spurring him on.
Ironically he brought them on to mock the indian food he was eating but they ended up making fun of his circumstances after it was all over.
He won the poll for "who did best" with an overwhelming majority.
