Serious answer is that liberals can't negotiate. There is a big issue with them being unable to negotiate wages and basically anything you can imagine and it has been that way for awhile. If you're talking about DOGE laying off several federal government employees and departments, all they had to do was A) accept a buyout, B) write an email explaining what they do on a weekly basis, C) use their experience from their government job to apply for other work.
