Other then that, the episode was boring.

Am i the only one who gets the feeling the Gex episode was mainly made to increase sales for the recent Gex collection?, which was made by Limited Run, who are also publishing and distributing physical copies for the AVGN 8-Bit game.

EDIT: The Gex collection isn't out yet, but my point still stands.

James/Screen Wave (it's mostly Screen Wave, let's face it) would be fools not to review this. It could be like a spiritual sequel to the AVGN Godzilla review where the Nerd plays the more recent Godzilla games that are actually like the ones we wanted as kids.

This game looks actually great. Way more entertaining than James's Mike replacement. I never want to hear about Rocky 5 again.

Gex always came across as artificial and forced to me. There was no shortage of edgy/irreverent products in the 90's and it just seemed mundane and uninspired. No surprises that a review of said game is also mundane and uninspired.
I rented Gex 64 and played for about 3-4 hours before putting it down. The only reason I remember it is that at school we had to write what we did for the weekend as a project and I gave a review of the game and said it sucked. True story.

I pressed play and skipped to a random point in the video because I wanted to see the gameplay. Immediately, the walrus guy got motion sickness and went to throw up outside. They then sit and google how to solve motion sickness (turn off the fucking motion blur). So there's your thrilling playthrough of this walking simulator.

It's simpler than turning the motion blur off and increasing the FOV. You only need to man up and grow a pair.
