Tarrifs don't always work because countries will just build the product 99% in one place, and then 1% in a country that isn't getting tarrifs.
So, you think tarrifs are impossible to enforce? You do know you can create different tarrifs for finished and unfished goods.

I agree but it should be all foreigners. If you don't have at least a green card you can't buy.
Block all foreigners from owning US land... that sounds great!
If the feds actually cared they would have broken up google, apple and Microsoft long ago. The banks too but that's a different story.
Google, Apple, and Microsoft exist because of the artificial monopoly of copyright and patents. You don't need the federal government to make decisions on who is "too big" if you modify what is causing the concentration of power. That topic is a whole other ball of yarn (a mess). My point is that the government creates an environment where monopolistic corporations are the inevitability.

Banks are granted an artificial monopoly on money creation. I would end all fractional banking, including the Federal Reserve. I don't fully know what Trump's plans are yet.

It can or it could force manufacturers to other nations.
Domestic factories for domestic demand. If you want, you could prevent a domestic company from moving a factory to a foreign demand nation by penalties, taxes, etc.

We need to go after the corporations and people who hire illegals. It should be a major crime to knowingly hire illegals.
It is a crime. They should enforce it.

Oh Jesus

Look, I can respect how you’re trying to apply a basic moral framework, but this doesn’t make any sense. And before you worry too hard about competing propaganda, bear in mind that decoupling was never spoken of until trump and we’ve been propagandized by the uniparty establishment to accept China since the fucking 70’s.

personally I've been supporting decoupling for a long while since I found out China forces foreign companies to own a majority share if they enter the Chinese market. This is during obama even.

and supporting the Chinese made sense when we had to go against the Soviet Union. the issue is that since fuck I don't even know Reagan definitely Bush senior, there's been this push on both parties that all we had to do was export capitalism and democracy and suddenly the world will change in our favor. I don't understand why no one could realize the fact that our enemies would just use our systems against us.

I guess what I was trying to get at is that you don't need to make up or exaggerate the failings of your enemies if you want to destroy them, it just hurts you in the long run.

To defeat our enemies we need to understand how they think and how they view the world. Remember they also have agency.
Why on earth should we go easier on them than we did the Soviet Union, which was their contemporary, their big brother
I'm not saying we should at all. I think we should do the opposite and box them in. Remember like how China helped their people The soviet Union did the same things to it's citizens back when the USSR existed, remember it turned Russia from a backward peasant nation into a peer competitor.

My problem with many "anti china" talking heads, especially on YouTube or that they're either affiliated with Falun Gong, or some other similar group. it is my belief that the actions of the United States did not lead to the collapse of the Soviet Union, but that the Soviet Union collapsed on its own due to its own internal failed policies and stagnation (I know this is quite contentious but that's my belief). the United States did help open up the Soviet Union under Gorbachev. and that happened by just telling the Soviet people the truth about the West and the Soviet system itself). remember that the Chinese learned from the failures of the Soviet Union, so we cannot repeat what we use to do. if we want to remove the Chinese Communist state or force some sort of regime change, it has to be internal. and that will only happen if you make the Chinese no longer trust the government to provide the services and prestige a claimed it could provide.

The Chinese system only works within China due to a variety of reasons. many of them cultural and historical. a lot of the "ussr bad" propaganda which came out in the 1950s was done to make communism less popular in the United States in the west. I'm not saying that we should support communism, I'm saying that you don't need to make up lies.

when you don't respect your enemy and you don't understand your enemy from their point of view, you end up with how the Middle Eastern Nations try to engage with Israel. they fall on their face at fail every single time.

Now that MAGA has taken over the GOP it's fascinating watch the controlled opposition operate in another country. Canada truly doesn't deserve to exist at this point, just give the land back to those faggots you always have to acknowledge or you'll be raped by a jeet or whatever:

Its impressive how full of shit he is. He can't even say he's for everyday Canadians right.

Found some nice Facebook cringe. Whoever probably got it off Reddit.
It's not wrong. by all account the EU has commited more money and disbursed more money than we have.

I believe the 114 billion number comes from independent research from Mensa which claims to be non-partisan or affiliated with any political organization (although that doesn't necessarily mean the researchers weren't biased). From what I gathered with my cursory glance through the text was that they were specifically debunking Trump's dollar amount claims regarding US aid to Ukraine. I saw the info posted up on facebook by a liberal associate, saved it and forgot about it.
114 billion comes from the kraut Kiel Institute. the 200-300 comes from training programs and other shit that happens in Europe in defense of Ukraine. Depends on what definition of aid people are using. 180 billion is what Congress officially allocated to Ukraine alone. It's talmudic math.

Or just give us all a national id number like other nations have.
Yeah, a national ID would be fine. But it's kind of late now because all of our ssns are out there on the net.

So, you think tarrifs are impossible to enforce?
They create a system which seeks to circumvent them

You do know you can create different tarrifs for finished and unfished goods.

I believe we should operate international trade with a scalpel not with a sledgehammer. tariffs are a sledgehammer. they're good for some things but not for everything.

I think that Trump is pulling out the big guns too early and if he fucks this up he can't use them again.

Block all foreigners from owning US land... that sounds great!

not sure if you are disagreeing here. many nations have similar laws. a lot of them in Europe have the same thing.
Google, Apple, and Microsoft exist because of the artificial monopoly of copyright and patents. You don't need the federal government to make decisions on who is "too big" if you modify what is causing the concentration of power.
It used to be that we would use a the Sherman antitrust act to break up monopolies whenever they got too big and prevented innovation. we did this to standard oil. we did this to Bell telephone. we tried to do this to Microsoft and failed. right now you have four companies essentially that control the entire internet that should not exist. don't get me started on patents because I believe that Congress needs to pass a law to stop and reverse the damage that Disney has done. however, I don't see the Democrats talking about this and I don't see Trump talking about this.

That topic is a whole other ball of yarn (a mess). My point is that the government creates an environment where monopolistic corporations are the inevitability.

well that's just capitalism. but I believe in kanisan economics. under a capitalistic system, the government should ensure free trade exists. however, every time we have these regulatory barriers in place, the Republican party keeps removing them because they keep siding with business. remember our media was prevented by regulation to be consolidated. Reagan removed that, and now all our media is owned by three companies.

Banks are granted an artificial monopoly on money creation. I would end all fractional banking, including the Federal Reserve. I don't fully know what Trump's plans are yet.

I'm more concerned about large Banks doing many different things. this is what led to 2008. I think you should have a bank that does one particular aspect of banking. another bank that does another particular aspect and them all being separately, run and not owned by a mega corporation like Bank of America for example.

if we allow the creation of smaller regional Banks to exist, we can allow more competition, but I will be very forward and say banking is not something I know much about.

Domestic factories for domestic demand. If you want, you could prevent a domestic company from moving a factory to a foreign demand nation by penalties, taxes, etc.
but that would require Congress to do its job. I don't like executive orders because they can easily be overturned by any administration and the political feelings of the day. when you have legislation passed, especially with the US 's Congressional system, a consensus is forced.

it's hard to establish a business when you don't know within 4 years if some regulatory reaction will exist or won't, especially when it comes to Major regulations.

It is a crime. They should enforce it.
The entire US immigration system needs to be burned down and rebuilt. we have two few judges too for you enforcers the laws are just taped together and they don't make any sense in the modern day. I'm not against deporting illegals I'm not against having immigration laws. I actually support them. I just think we need to completely change everything.

Newsom shouldn't be underestimated. Bad policy matters only tangentially in a wider presidential campaign. Out of their entire lineup so far, he does have the Potus vibes.
All his opponent has to do is point to California literally burning down multiple times and his chances of winning go up in smoke. Newson being Nancy Pelosi's nephew doesn't mean shit when people like Pelosi spent all their political capital against Trump.

This will matter a lot less than you imagine by the time 2028 rolls around

Shadowstats is retarded. Just because inflation is not being tracked correctly and you can feel it vs what politicians/economists say doesn't mean you go full retard and fail at basic math.

Per shadowstats, cumulative inflation since 2000 is around 600%. Inflation is up, yes, but find me something that you consider essential such as rent, food, gas, electricity, that has gone up by 600% since 2000.

The shadowstats guy is a stubborn retard and his inflation tracker is going to keep getting more and more skewed as time goes on. I would recommend just going by how things are in your actual life, how much % of your income goes to rent, food, gas, electricity, etc. and use that to determine who you vote for and what policies you support.

Could trump crush Canadas economy so hard they can’t fund their “free” healthcare. it would take away the one thing canadians brag about.
or will they print money like Zimbabwe to try and maintain it.
if I were a Canadian Dr in that situation I’d just move to America and get paid more.

This is what I’m arguing.

I talk all kinds of shit about China, but show me where it’s exaggerated. They’re that bad

They will continue MAID, except with bullets.

Okay so is there any clear evidence of a WW3? I don’t see any propaganda by the state nor mass efforts to recruit or conscript
the rationale is that europe will send troops to Ukriane for the peace keeping grift. Then a EUkrainian soldat will ND his rifle into a russian soldat causing a resumption of the war. They'll gladly fight the russians but since europe lack experienced warfighting units (ksk being disbanded due to far rightism, the RAF left afghanistan in 2014), the peace keeping units will lose, and then EUkraine will demand America come and clean up their mess. will we side with the EUkrainians or will we back russia? who knows, but neturality won't be a thing.

e: america isn't pushing the ww3 narrative for enlistment but a bunch of EU countries annouced they're going to magic up some money for troops and equipment.
