Argue about shoes and economics

WHY ARE THE WAGES POOR WHEN THEIR PRODUCTS SELL FOR 600 FUCKING DOLLARS
BECAUSE MORE FUCKING PROFIT IS BETTER

Jesus Christ, did you actually grow up in the world's leading capitalist economy? People want to make money. They want to make as much money as fucking possible as quickly as possible. Do you think they are running some kind of a fucking social enterprise

40% markup, okay, we all agree that's acceptable, 400%?! ARE YOU ON DRUGS?

Do you seriously think GYW shoes cost $125 to produce? And are you forgetting that wholesale pricing exists and that the MSRP you’re paying is the cumulative result of both the manufacturer and the retailer making a profit?

"I don't think a pair of shoes should cost 600 dollars, there's no way they cost nearly that much to produce if even half of that"
"BRO WHAT'RE YOU RETARDED?"
Oh, I'm the retard. Right. Hey, if you wanna be robbed it's not my decision, being happy about it is odd though.

I understand American goods will always be more expensive due to labor laws
Higher wages in America aren't 100% caused by labor laws, but I agree with buying American
And for a land of immigrants, I see no issues allowing (legal) immigration to fill those factories if we have a labor shortage
Too much imported labor lowers wages. This is how markets increase wages. Demand for work means the price of labor goes up. I'm fine with some immigration, the gold card isn't a bad idea, $5 million for citizenship is fair. short term work visas and they go back isn't the worst thing either.
