Seriously though I don't think he is pretending. All of his "sane" friends abandoned him instead of taking his side against these extorting whores. He doesn't need to paint himself as more of a victim than he already has. I would guess that 80% of the people sticking around have no idea what is actually going on, and the other 20% unironically think he should be allowed to rape/murder people because he's the only way they can stop trump - even though Hasan mogs him, Vaush gets the same amount of viewers as him and people like David Pakman dwarf him in both side and mainstream appeal.

I'll be the schizo who says it, but I think someone is spending money on YT view bots. The numbers don't make sense when previously 15k views would entail the stream was actually engaging in cross community dramas. 8 to 9k is his usual boring news stream average. No evidence to back this up, just my memory and schizo theories. 🤷

It's not too crazy to think that the streams are botted. Not that there's anything specific about Destiny or his circumstances to indicate it's happening, but bots are relatively cheap, they work at creating an impression that your streams are lively (enticing people to join), and most platforms have an exploitable policy where if someone else is botting the stream then the streamer can't get in trouble.

The obvious workaround is that someone intimately familiar with Destiny could bot it with his direct knowledge and as long as no one discovers the collusion then he's able to get around the issue. Absent specific evidence, it's at least a logical theory on its face to postulate that larger streamers like Destiny might bot themselves.

Personally I think these numbers are real. It's been a hectic few days in American politics, people are interested and will tune in to their go-to guy for coverage.

Hasan usually maxes out at 32k concurrent viewers on Twitch; he got nearly double that the day the Trump/Zelensky meeting fell through. That's just what happens when major political events occur.

I don't think this is true. Kick will partially demonetize your stream if their metrics suggest botting activity, no matter who is botting your channel. And Youtube has demonetized botted channels that are botting without further investigation of who does the botting (but that probably is more a policy for small or medium sized channels).
I'm pretty sure it's just the Trump effect and maybe Hasan being banned on Twitch. Vaush did peak at 14k the last couple of days as well:

Kick has a program called 'Kick Creator Incentive Program' (KCIP). They pay out a lot of money for what they consider authentic viewers. For the payout they take their internal metrics and numbers and not the displayed viewer count. Chat activity is one of the metrics they use, which is why you'll sometimes see Kick streamers ask their chat to chat more. Kick supposedly pays about $8 for 100 viewers per hour. For Destiny that's about $20K in a month through KCIP, if all his viewers on Kick are considered authentic.

For more than a decade he built a loyal follower base that followed him everywhere (even bigger livestreamers like Pokimane couldn't get people to switch to youtube), so he'll always have a nice comfy paycheck, just not as big.
