While I care more about Europe than Asia since they're Christian even I have to admit that Taiwan is worth far more than Ukraine. So idk anymore. Do you have any sources to back it up?

I've mentioned this a few times in the past, but if you were asked to wage a defensive war Taiwan is one of the best places on Earth you could be on. It has all the amphibious assault terrain bottlenecks that made Gallipoli an unmitigated shitshow combined with dense jungles and sprawling cities. Ocean conditions and typhoons also mean there are extremely narrow and highly predictable windows for which an invasion attempt can be made. And none of this factors in Taiwan's microprocessor leverage.

If China really wanted Taiwan it'd be easier and more effective to infiltrate their politics like they did with Hong Kong. It's more valuable to the CCP as a flag-waving nationalistic distraction for when public opinion turns against them.
