Democrats Are Acting Too Normal
The Atlantic (archive.ph)
By Tom Nichols

They really can't win

-If they all acted like lunatics to disrupt the speech, it would just give trump fodder and turn off centrists
-Doing nothing gets them criticized by the lunatics in their party.
-So they all chose some weird middle ground where they atleast get an Instagram photo they can try to campaign on.

Honestly, they should have all just not shown up. It's just as pointless, but I think its the least embarrassing option.

It's images like this that really reinforce my superstitious and probably autistic theory on the Mandate of Heaven. It was just so bizarre watching the democrats absolutely cower tonight. There was one early effort at disruption and then nothing. Just silently slinking out of the room.

And when you compare what came before and how people react to it, it's really something. I agree. It's like waking up from a nightmare. Literal demons were reigning over our society. Faceless, masked demons telling us everything has to be destroyed.

Everything we believed before was wrong. The only thing bad about abortions was that there weren't enough of them. Humanity needs to die to save the planet. The true enemies of freedom are people who believe in God. The country needs to be torn down and replaced with something else. Don't ask what.

And then a goofy reality TV star saw the Crown of America lying in the gutter and decided, "I can take that crown up. I can put it on my head. Nobody else seems to see the value in it."

And for the utter arrogance of that act he was forced to wager his fortune, his life and sacred honor. And the man that emerged from that crucible was someone his enemies couldn't even muster up the will the wave shitty placards at.
Yeah we went from reports from Axios that Crockett was going to chuck eggs at Trump, to Al Green acting like a retard and getting dragged out and the Democrats just folded. Then it made everything worse for them since they sat around like retards while a kid fighting cancer got a nice gift. The only time the fuckers clapped was when Trump asked if they wanted 5 more years of the war. They don't even look like real people, they look and act like you would expect an alien to look and act as they mimic human life for the first time.

At most, censure, the equivalent of wagging your finger at someone. Here's an example of a censure of Ilhan Omar:
Actually, no. There is something worse that can be done. It's just never been done before. It is an unwritten and ceremonial rule of the US Congress.

If a member(s) of Congress becomes so recalcitrant that even the Sergeant at Arms cannot restore order, the Speaker of the House may direct the Sergeant at Arms to present the Mace of the House of Representatives.

Once the Mace has been presented, the speaker is allowed to wield the Mace as a weapon against the members defying the chair. In a very literal sense. He can bash it over their heads and potentially kill them.

The Mace has been presented on rare occasions and whatever dispute caused the presentation swiftly ended.

Well I've caught up on all the most recent happenings at... ...Degenerate O'Clock. Gehenna told John Badman to kill himself, Trump got Elizabeth Warren to mouth 'you bet' as a response to someone talking to her when he called her out for being a warmongering witch (also she was clapping for more war in an act that I can only assume is seething honesty,) that purple haired lady was on the hunt for fresh life essence to drain to maintain her life for another month, there were all these little faggoty signs they kept holding up.

There is one thing I'll have to admit: Lil' Glowie DJ put a big ol' smile on my face. Hell, all the little gestures of goodwill towards Americans, especially those who have been victimized by previous power holders, is pretty nice. Yes it's fluff, but sentiment can carry you a long way in a world that's being pushed to be as cynical, jaded, and deranged as possible.

I feel kind of bad! Here I am enjoying the baptism of a glow-in-the-dark junior while the joyless internet people are screeching that Democrats didn't ruin this nice series of hopeful sentiments enough.

It's very sad behavior!

Its because most of them are actors, they wake up every day and put on the performance of being a politician. They have done this act so long the real politicians are a dying breed now adays. The congressmen of today are just influencers they have entire teams that do all the thinking and image work for them. They have endless intern collage kids who got their poly sci degree thinking that by being a kiss ass to them and doing all the work of drafting and writing their speeches that the actors who play congressmen will credit them and help them beyond a pat on the head and a good job champ. Isolate a congressman from their teams for a month and see how well thought out their ideas are and their posturing looks then. you will see a confused actor looking for the script.

Someone said the dem’s are all stuck in the early 2000’s and that was so on point. The Jon Stewart behavior (where instead of saying something funny or smart you just make an “oh BROTHER” face to the camera. I’m surprised I didn’t see anyone puff their cheeks or do that circling the finger around the temple or ear ”cuh-razy!!” thing

Unfortunately, not, Al Green is from the 9th Congressional district of Texas, and it's largely made up of Houston. Texas is based but the cities are absolute trash, Austin being the pinnacle of Texas trash

The celebration of hood culture was a total disaster for black communities, and you have that goofy WE WUZ KANGZ shit that some unironically believe in
Houston is hands down far, FAR worse than Austin. Both in terms of literal trash and how it's run. It's a testament to how bad its administration is that despite being one of the supposed energy capitals of the world it can't even manage to maintain a regularly functioning electrical grid or roads that don't have more potholes than Detroit. It's a loose collection of structures and parking lots McGuyver'd together into a rough approximation of a child's drawing of a city. More cockroaches per square mile than any other city in the US. It's that bad.

When you really think about it, how is Canada a soverign country? Their existence relies almost entirely on the US from their defense to their economy. We should have merged nations ages ago
They became independent by asking the UK, and we left them alone out of professional courtesy and frankly being too busy with other more important shit.

Canada exists like many other modern countries they don’t exist because they have any real power they exist because removing the facade of them being their own country would take far to much effort and risk the paper tigers becoming real ones when push comes to shove.
