Someone said the dem’s are all stuck in the early 2000’s and that was so on point. The Jon Stewart behavior (where instead of saying something funny or smart you just make an “oh BROTHER” face to the camera. I’m surprised I didn’t see anyone puff their cheeks or do that circling the finger around the temple or ear ”cuh-razy!!” thing

Houston is hands down far, FAR worse than Austin. Both in terms of literal trash and how it's run. It's a testament to how bad its administration is that despite being one of the supposed energy capitals of the world it can't even manage to maintain a regularly functioning electrical grid or roads that don't have more potholes than Detroit. It's a loose collection of structures and parking lots McGuyver'd together into a rough approximation of a child's drawing of a city. More cockroaches per square mile than any other city in the US. It's that bad.

They became independent by asking the UK, and we left them alone out of professional courtesy and frankly being too busy with other more important shit.

Canada exists like many other modern countries they don’t exist because they have any real power they exist because removing the facade of them being their own country would take far to much effort and risk the paper tigers becoming real ones when push comes to shove.

@Gehenna after tonight's speech, do you have any insight you could add pertaining to Republicans in Congress working on getting stuff done to accomplish Trump's plans or anything like that? I guess I don't really know what specific question I'm wanting to ask of you, but you always seem like the guy who knows what's going on behind the scenes.

Even worse I think they're all stuck in 2015 and believe Woke is on the ascendant. Just one more John Oliver gotcha and they'll win the culture war. It's all about finding the right words or feels.

This was pretty much like their reliving of the 2015 shoah. But worse, it was a full-on vindication of it. Trump is Trumper than ever, JD’s aura has gotten so insanely strong at one point he just stood up and that was enough for the dems to shut up and sit down, hell even Elon looks like he’s come into his own, rising and scanning the room, fully owning his well-earned moment. And the dems are just so broken. They were wrong, they tried to kill Trump, slipped and fell and died.

The dems just got raped, they have become the raped they are stuck in the rape crystal paradigm and will be until they go through years of theRAP(E)y and get the scars of being brutally raped by American people rejecting them and their cult.

They're not even doing these hysterical things because of their beliefs either, it's all to appeal to big donors and mentally ill city voters.

The only method they have is "make your enemy a social outcast." Their first and last idea is always "try to control what people can say via threats of social ostracism."

They look to people like John Stewart to find out what the acceptable ideas are (John Stewart will make a statement about how CRAZY Trump is, and his studio audience's reaction is the cue to viewers that everyone else cool thinks that as well)

Then they expect the cultural institutions (social media, colleges, corporations, banks) to enforce those ideas and punish anyone who doesn't toe the line.

Their current confusion and haplessness is because it's not working anymore. The "rules" aren't being enforced, the institutions are ignoring their screeching. Trump is calling transwomen men and getting away with it, even though John Stewart would never have allowed that! These people haven't actually argued with anyone in ten years, or examined their own beliefs. All they've done is smirk and ostracize. Now they're utterly lost.
