The peso has increased massively in value.
So much so that they are now flooding Brazil and Uruguay and Paraguay to buy cheap stuff and eat for almost nothing at restaurants during their vacations.

It's even funnier to consider that only 2-3 years ago, it was so devalued you could actually rent a 2 story luxury apartment in Buenos Aires for 1 week for less than 500$.

We’re already approaching a tipping point when it comes to working to feed and house them; There’s little point to fighting for a country that’s already being given away by traitors.

There's no one answer. How hard the tariff hits the final consumer price depends entirely on how the imported good is used.

  • An importer imports a good for $1. To be profitable, he resells it for $2. WIth a 25% tariff, he now imports it for $1.25. He now turns around and sells is for $2.25.
  • You buy a good from an online retailer for $1. A 25% tariff is slapped on it. The price you see at checkout is $1.25.
  • A manufacturer makes a finished good that has $25 of parts, and sells it for $75. $12 of those parts come from overseas, and now have a tariff of 25%, or $3. So now the manufacturer has a good that has $28 of parts. He increases the price to $78.

Overall I give his speech 9/10 in the cold light of morning. I just wish he had gone through in painstaking detail what is involved in the chemical castration surgery of a child, while pointing at the dems and going “why do you wanna do this to children?
