I can point out four things about Trump that I despise. His reliance on cryptocurrency being the future of commerce/investment, his clear bias towards Israel regarding their conflict against Palestine, preaching about abolishing America debt/deficit but doing nothing about student loan debt, and his administration pushing to pardon/release a known sex trafficker and woman abuser infamously known as Andrew Tate.
How are those two things related? One is about reducing the country’s abundant spending, resulting in either people paying less taxes or the government using that saved money on resources that people actually care about (or the absolute worse-case scenario: nothing changes), and the other is about people paying more taxes so college students don’t have to face the harsh reality of paying back a loan that they knowingly took. I’d be far more concerned if he did promote the idea of abolishing student loan debt.

oh noooo it's habbening. Newsom is lining up soundbites for 2028
His podcast is entirely designed to set up his 2028 run. But again, as I often say, he will never stand a chance. Californians fucking hate him, and the French Laundry stunt during the Covid lockdowns will destroy him on the national level when he actually starts to run. Every single opponent in the primaries will be able to turn to him and say “while you forced American citizens to stay at home while their families members died, you had a party at a packed 5 star restaurant where no one was socially distanced or wearing a mask.” He will be curbstomped faster than Kamala in 2019

A Rhode Island US District Judge has indefinitely blocked President Trump's freeze on federal grants and loans, arguing in his ruling that the White House had "put itself above Congress" and undermined democracy.

In a Thursday ruling, Judge John McConnell Jr., an Obama appointee - prohibited the Trump administration from freezing or otherwise impeding the disbursement of appropriated federal funds, WSJ reports.

The decision is a victory for Trump critics who say he has trampled on Congress’s authority in his effort to cut federal spending and overhaul agencies.

McConnell’s order follows a similar one issued by a different federal judge in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 25. The judge had previously issued a temporary restraining order, which on Thursday he converted into an injunction, a more permanent form of relief.

"The Executive’s categorical freeze of appropriated and obligated funds fundamentally undermines the distinct constitutional roles of each branch of our government," wrote McConnell.

"Here, the Executive put itself above Congress," he continued. "It imposed a categorical mandate on the spending of congressionally appropriated and obligated funds without regard to Congress’s authority to control spending."

McConnell's ruling came after 22 Democrat states and the District of Columbia filed a lawsuit which challenged a directive from the White House's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) directing them to pause funding while it assessed whether various government programs complied with executive orders issued by Trump which target foreign aid, DEI, and green energy projects.

While OMB then rescinded that directive, the states say that come Congressionally-approved funds were still being improperly withheld - and that the initial OMB policy rollout sowed confusion among state governments, nonprofits, and lawmakers.

McConnell issued an earlier temporary restraining order (TRO), in which he said that the administration couldn't "pause, freeze, impede, block, cancel, or terminate" its federal financial-assistance obligations to the states.

According to the judge, state governments face "significant disruption in health, education, and other public services" due to the funding freeze, and as such, "the Court finds that the public interest lies in maintaining the status quo and enjoining any categorical funding freeze."

No child, you can't freeze federal grants and loans. Even though you're the president. Enjoy prison, stalker.

The CCP is officially atheist but pagan/shamanic in practice
I'm pretty sure they're a Cult of Personality revolving around Xinnie the Pooh these days...
Sure, but they also have all of these superstitions, like you’re not allowed to reference Xi having been born in the year of the snake because of bad luck and shit, and you have the problem of them poaching American brown bears because bear gallbladder is supposed to make their tiny dicks work or whatever

Actually if we analyze it well the CCP seems to be ironically quite close to a modern version of the Legalism of Qin Shi Huang the First Emperor. Especially since they almost fully killed the Confucian cultural aspects with the Cultural Revolution.

The stuff with the folk medicine and potions seems to be modern Taoism. It is still quite big in China, with feng shui taken seriously and shit like Taoist shamans doing rituals to bless shit.

Legalism is a philosophy/ideology/religion quite popular among the bureaucrat classes of the Chinese Dynasties which was quite authoritarian and preached central planning and strong social control.

The easiest way to understand Legalism for westerners is to just think of the Human Hive from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, led by Chairman Sheng-Ji Yang.

@tehpope Since I can't respond to you for whatever reason, all I have to say is; I fucking told you all so. Trump is now being put in a position where he has to ignore these judges orders. These corrupt pieces of shit have been given carte blanche to undermine the government thanks to that faggot Roberts.
We're gonna see Unitary Executive Theory tested out. the likes of which have not been seen before.

So. She's pretending to be a Christian. Got it.
Michelle Wu is as Christian as much as I'm a vegan. She has never, ever, at any point in time made Christianity part of her identity as the Mayor of Boston. It is entirely performative.

In fact, the first winter of her term as mayor, everybody wanted to eat her guts because she banned the custom of space savers. Basically, after it snows and you shovel out your own car space, you put a lawn chair or something in the spot to reserve it. Moving a space saver could very well get your ass kicked. Michelle Wu said it was no longer allowed on paper and everybody hated her for it.
