I recognize all of them except the characters that I assume are from porn.
AHA. I was right.
Imo, in Internet communities focused on animation, there is, like, an unspoken expectation that you must support pornographic creators. If you're an indie artist, you're often grouped with those who get off on pushing boundaries (e.g - artists who see shocking the public/peers with explicit content as an act of rebellion). Somehow, being an independent creator has been conflated with being countercultural, as if making art outside of the mainstream is inherently a political stance. And with that comes an insistence that you at least tolerate, if not embrace, NSFW content, no matter your personal stance. It’s not just present, it’s forced down your throat. It's annoying and a lot of the reason why I avoid most "communities."
Though, this is just the feeling I get from personal experience. Porn makes me uncomfortable and I will say so, and that has put me on people's personal shit lists in the past. Being a totally SFW artist is increasingly rare.
