It comes across more to me as a narcissistic freak who is laughing at her kids for being neurotic wrecks even though it's because they have a freakishly deranged mother.

I read it as her channelling the resentment towards her kids into her comics because she can't sperg out at them for being backward irl.

Given how she acts online she must be an absolute nightmare to deal with at home. I especially feel sorry for her daughter; she's probably getting the Carrie treatment and it'll only get worse as she gets older and more independent.

Which makes it all the more bizarre why she decided to become a webcomic artist instead of an influencer on TikTok or whatever else it is unfulfilled stay-at-home moms do these days.

I'm still of the mind that the main comic and the nsfw stuff are drawn by two different people (somebody had floated the idea that the husband was drawing the main comic).

I'd argue she draws it all herself, she just goes from hand drawn for most of her stuff, to heavily referenced / possibly traced for some of it, her porn falling into the latter category. She is comfortable, at least complacent, with drawing stiff cartoon mannequins free form when they are just standing around, but for anything more complex she references and she is too amateur to layer it without it sticking out.
For example, this is obviously drawn without reference:

Look at the lenghts she goes to not to draw hands, or draw them poorly:

I'm not sure if the hand was traced or drawn from life for once, but the phone looks like a photo under a filter.

Britney is traced from a photo.

Note the level of detail she gets from a photo versus how she barely knows what a t-shirt looks like when she is left to her own devices.

That isn't just her trying harder to get Britney Spears 16 year old tiddies just right, these are skill level differences with a gulf in between.

I'm not going to critique her porn in detail but let's just say that all I've seen falls under traced/heavily referenced, so it won't look like her regular stuff.
Also, Ellen, the difference between you and your daughter at 13 is that your mother was normal and you draw porn of yourself and post it online next to comics of your daughter.

I agree, I think if she used AI or some service like Fiverr, it’d be in a lot better shape than what we see. I think she’s just very lazy and takes shortcuts whenever possible because ultimately her drawings are secondary to whatever scorching hot take she’s desperate to share with us. I've started to pay some more attention to the snark page after my last major post. Not a whole lot has happened but a couple things caught my eye. The first is the rules of the r/comics page.



Reddit fags keep complaining about getting banned off the page for xyz reason. But look at the rules of the sub. Particularly the first three. (Archive from 2 weeks ago apparently)



Looking at these rules, no wonder people are banned off the page. Reddit states that owners of a sub are allowed to choose which people participate on their page and if they are not wanted they can be banned. "No complaining" probably covers why most of the users are banned off of the sub. I don't think it justifies banning people who only post on the snark (covered in my post here), but saying "your politics are lame" is seemingly enough to get banned off the page. Lame but that's just reddit.

The last thing that caught my eye worth possibly looking into are the mods. Someone said this on one of the most recent posts (A)



I think looking into if Ellen is actually a mod on some kind of alt account is an interesting idea. I didn't have enough autism to look into at this point but here is a current list of the mods (Archive) incase someone decides to. Here's screencaps of the mods so I can also showcase my red banner on reddit.




I think it's an interesting possibility that Ellen is a mod on some kind of alt. She's known to draw furry art, so perhaps that's an indicator of that being her. It would partially explain why she has so much pull with the other mods and why she's able to make comments disappear. I also don't have statistics on the page r/comics to be able to compare Ellen with other artists but it's something worth looking into.
