What conspiracy theories do you believe in? - Put your tinfoil hats on

asking AI to summarize something for you is a bad idea and unhelpful
even if it's not downright programmed to lie to you, it will be faulty at best
even when it's occasionally "right", or rather more accurately put, the words it generated ends up being understood by us as correlating with reality, you're still teaching yourself to rely on and trust it instead of just reading further than the front page of google and actually going to the source and using your own brain to summarize what you understood

don't do it
it's gay and retarded
It's actually kind of interesting how well this correlates with magic.
Doing magic is a generally a bad idea, and you don't need any actual supernatural shit for it to be a bad idea. It's more about the fact that when you get into magic, you start training your brain to see patterns that may not be there ("I spilled salt in a hot pan and it made an O shape! That means Obama is coming to get me!") and credits things other than your own direct action and efforts ("I applied to the job, sure, but it was burning that candle that got me the job") for things that happen in your life.

that aside, the occult and "conspiracy aesthetics" have become so mainstream that people now copy them for fun and to look cool so you can no longer say it directly correlates to involvement with actual occultism
I mean ffs remember Gravity Falls? there was a CARTOON on the Disney channel for kids about this stuff, that's how non esoteric it all became, or at least the surface level symbolism of it
You're likely talking to an actual schizophrenic and have no hope of showing him how to reason or argue. I'm not using that word as a shorthand for 'crazy', I mean that he has brain damage that causes him to overuse his intuition without comparing it to reason. There isn't a way of correcting a hardware level error over the internet.

that's not what schizophrenia means
i mean shit we can start a whole separate thread just on the medical abuse of dissenters and how the term "schizophrenia" has been used to 'diagnose' those who speak out of line or don't trust authority, and the way it too became commonplace in the modern world to the point where now every tom dick and granny knows the term "schizo" to mean "guy who is wrong and bad"

but back to ol rando over here
i think the guy is just LARPing, he comes off as a common normie who doesn't believe in any conspiracy talk but decided to walk into a thread about it and try and blend in

I mean, maybe? I've seen people whose opinions weren't normal but definitely thought in the same way as normal people, and I've seen people that were obviously forcing others to read their unsourced personal mythos. NoBueno sounds like the second category. Or...

Maybe this is his job. Maybe he's dumping focus tested 'schizo memes' from a PC inside the same office as thirty /x/ posters.

I think it’s probably been said before, but I think that all of what we think of as “mental illness” is just varying degrees of egotism/narcissism. Think about it, we‘re so coddled in our modern world and EVERYBODY has terminal main-character syndrome. Now this creates a kind of friction between reality and the mind already. The cognitive dissonance that happens when your ego tells you you’re not really where you’re meant to be in life, which I also would argue can happen with celebrities/elites in reverse: they burn out on drugs/alcohol because there should be some more purpose. Anybody who feels they have a purpose in life is not going to be mentally ill.
I think Schizophrenia is more genetic based than they are willing to admit as well, so they can group it in with other so-called mental illnesses to lend more legitimacy to the Pharma industry, which is literally a giant state-sanctioned cartel.
Having said all that, I think trauma/ptsd is real, I’m just strictly speaking of the personality disorder/dsd/depression/anxiety that somehow all seems to be “treated” by the same type of drugs.

tl;dr the mentally ill are by and large just faggots who think way too highly of themselves, constantly being confronted with evidence to the contrary and not being able to reconcile it.

most of what is considered a mental illness is simply what's disruptive to the status quo, not necessarily what's harmful to individuals or is out of order
why do you think almost every disorder that's commonly diagnosed today- autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, all have the same collection of 'symptoms' that boil down to 'he doesn't trust authority blindly and has ideas that scare us'
why do you think things like homosexuality and obesity stopped being disorders when they became commonplace and we stopped oppressing such people, why would it matter what a disorder is based on whether we like the people who have it or not? because we no longer medically abuse them, there's no need they were determined to be safe for society and the status quo, so let's leave them alone for now

we diagnose what's troublesome not what's actually biologically disordered

That's every 5G conspiracy theory ever. 5G is being implemented so it's easier to track people due to how many more cell towers they need to put up gets turned into "5G towers give you cancer and kill trees with RaDiAtIoN!!!!111!!!!!". I'm sure glowniggers have nothing to do with that. Just like how they didn't make flat earth and moon landing conspiracies mainstream on YouTube so actual conspiracy videos get banned.
There's a mundane explanation for the 5G theories and it's a brilliant piece of PR work.
The 5G conspiracy was spread after the 5G towers were 'set on fire' by people worried about the radiation etc.
What really happened, and this is the mundane part, is that the manufacturers of 5G (Mainly chinks initially) crammed a load of electronics into a silver box with no ventilation, stuck them high in the air in direct sunlight and, surprise, surprise, the whole thing set on fucking fire.

Now, to avoid a huge PR disaster and to keep the orders of 5G towers rolling, some genius, possibly a conspiracy theorist themselves, sat in a marketing office decided to make the idea that people were setting the towers on fire in retaliation to mind-control and radiation theories.

most of what is considered a mental illness is simply what's disruptive to the status quo
Controlled Schizophrenia is an incredibly powerful tool for a human to possess. To be able to see problems from multiple angles, all with unique sets of perspectives gives one an advantage like no other.
The saying "two heads are better than one" is true for a reason, but those two heads, of two separate people, have their own disadvantages. Two heads in one person only has advantages.

Obesity is not a mental illness, and the homosexuality thing became accepted more so as a consequence of the first Obama admin and the way the pendulum swung so far left after Bush.

I actually think the opposite: It’s very good for our modern weak and permissive status quo. It used to be understood that a man’s purpose is to act on the world, to make an impact in a way only he can, and if not, then they can at least still reproduce and keep the ball rolling. Let the next gen act on the world. But modern society permits everything, and I think THAT is what causes so much mental anguish at the individual level.

People used to kill themselves out of shame if their business failed or they lost their homes, etc. This was because of the pressure by society to actually make something of yourself. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that mental illness increases as we become more socially liberal.

That’s also why the frequency of mental illness in Artists is so high- they have no way to act on the world using their unique talents because we don’t value Art as a society anymore. Leading to the drugs, and the demoralization at an individual level that allows the predatory doctors to step in and zombify them.

As a bonus, the “mentally ill” canard can be deployed anytime they need to set up a false flag event to justify passing draconian censorship and gun laws. Like how Sneedy Hook ended up just being a giant ad campaign for Lexapro.

Human brains aren't set up for that many ideas all at once. You end up with migraines and Chris Chan.

Speaking of schizo ideas, here's a lil what if-
The internet has a LOT of information on it, and more is accessible all the time.
WHAT IF the ones at the top wanted that to go away?
How might they do that?
Pretend attacks on the power grids to turn off the electricity? Call it a terrorist attack by whatever enemy is in the news that week?
Say it's affecting the internet as well?
How long would it take for people to forget? Couple weeks? A month?
Bring the power back up, and the internet BUT now half the websites are gone and the ones left are nearly unusable.
The few who remember will be upset but what are they gonna do about it? Nothing but whine, that's all. Eventually they'll get bored of complaining and just use the new sanitized 'net like everyone else.

I doubt it even needs a full blackout to cover it up. Just "attack" the archive sites, and continue delisting stuff from the major search engines, and consolidate more websites into monolithic platforms. Make webhosting technically and fiscally unsustainable for the average dork and you can get a sanitised Web without too many people noticing.

I think they're already doing this with archive.org. They'll claim it's for things like the lawsuit they had or for Taylor Lorenz' privacy, but I think they're also letting it happen (a la 9/11) because it benefits TPTB.

I also think this. A large amount of what we consider to be illness is just not being suited to the world we inhabit.
Anxiety? Anyone in the past who wasn’t fretting about there maybe being a cave lion over there gets eaten. You’d get enough positive feedback from it to not feel so bad.
Postpartum anxiety? Anyone who thought ‘can’t be arsed’ and left the baby somewhere thinning it’s be fine ratter than fretting doesn’t get to pass their genes down.
ADHD? I doubt the Amish have an issue with it, spend all day barn raising and you’ll be busy and tired. Hunter gatherer mindset. But not ok with sitting all day.
Schizo? The tribe can manage a few of them, we just call them seers. The functional one is the medicine woman and the really insane one talks to the gods. Works fine for us!
The really maladaptive stuff is extreme tendency to violence on your own group, complete lack of self control, or sexual/other behaviour that increases the risk of disease as an individual or group.
And oddly enough we encourage all that now, and medicate the hell out of anyone with adhd, depression, anxiety or schizos. We are breeding and amplifying the worst forms of mental illness.
I was tangentially involved with some psychiatry type trials a while back and was helping to design ways of accounting for placebo effects and diagnostic fuzziness. It was pretty shocking to me to go through all these patient profiles, and diagnostic criteria, and see people who had really good reasons for being a bit unstable medicated heavily and told THEY were ill. like ‘yeah I was blown up in Iraq, mugged, and my wife died of cancer, I feel bad doc.’ ‘Oh let’s give you drugs!’ Never ‘bloody hell that’s awful mate, have a hug, do you need to talk about it, how can we actually help you?’
It was really disturbing to see how all the diagnoses kind of blend Into each other as well. Severe depression kind of blends into psychosis, and it’s all so very subjective.
Coming from a really objective field, where mutation-> reproducible symptoms I found it weird and i had a lot of fun and interesting conversations (and arguments) with the psychiatry set working on the project.

I absolutely agree that actual symptoms of illness are being overly focused on in order to 'fix' them to fit in our world rather than being utilized
But illness is also found where there is none
12 year old boy wants to run around or doodle in class instead of doing math, y'know, like a normal kid? Nope, ADHD, PILLS NOW!
Normal woman prefers reading books instead of partying and getting fucked? That's not right, autism, PILLS NOW!
Guy doesn't trust whatever authorities tell him without verifying? Oops, he has 'crazy-man-who-shouldn't-be-listened-to' disease that just so happens to spawn randomly when you think out of line, err I mean schizophrenia, PILLS NOW!
Someone is just a regular ol asshole who has been raised poorly? BPD, PILLS NOW!

Note how often the symptoms of disorders make it difficult to control people, is the person paranoid and 'hallucinating' some kinda conspiracy or is there actually one afoot and the diagnosis is there to discourage others from listening to him? Is this person a 'hoarder' or just keeps useful things for a rainy day and there's an incentive to make him stop being self sufficient? Is this person overactive and dangerously hyperfixated, or just too hyperfocused on his goals that he might achieve something that will endanger the rat race and needs to be drugged out of his mind to make him not want to operate anymore? Is this person actually a danger to himself or others, or just a danger to the sense of normalcy of some histrionic therapist who should be taking pills herself, but instead decided the world would be better if everyone BUT her was medicated, because clearly being possessively afraid of everyone whose the slightest bit abnormal and not being happy until everyone who makes her feel 'unsafe' is drugged or locked up is totally normal behavior

Every trait of mental illness has an analog that is "normative", it's normal to be paranoid about 'the right things' like your husband cheating on you if he didn't reply to your emoji within 2.3 seconds, or get oddly upset when someone ISN'T maintaining eye contact when it's socially acceptable to
It's only wrong when it's done in the incorrect way, because it troubles social norms

They do say there's a thin line between genius and insanity.

So much in magic theory/thinking (magick if you want to be a pretentious twat) boils down to intense concentration. To some it comes naturally, others have to really apply it but one thing I noticed when I went down that rabbit hole is how many "elites" (business, athletics, academics, etc) have comment about on spending alot of time in their mind focusing, thinking, meditating on what it is they want to achieve.

It's controlled. You can dip in-between 'alters' without going full mental and use a different perspective looking at the same problem for a range of solutions.

It's easy to do as well. The technique I was taught was to imagine a tea-party/come-dine-with me/knights-of-the-round-table kind of idea. Imagine all of those characters and people. You select people, real or fictional, that you know inside and out. It could be a group made up of Homer Simpson, Tony Soprano, Lassie, Chairman Mao, Karl Marx and Hugo the mild-mannered janitor.
You imagine what they would say, how they would act to any given situation.
To make it easier, find drawings or figurines of the people and sit them around a table, then concentrate, and think.
Or, use it as work in meetings with managers. If you know the subject before hand, you can consider how they would react, what they would think of. This prepares you for any pushback or gotchas that may occur.

It sounds very woo-woo nu-age hippy shit, but it isn't. It's a tactic used, apparently, for millennia.
