Didn’t reddit already do this years ago?
I believe it was called the March for Science at that point. No idea if the organizers are the same. Doesn't it make more sense to hold a rally on a Saturday, rather than Friday? I just don't understand the planning that goes into something like this and scheduling the 50501 protest thing during the middle of the week.

Here is an actual news source on the 3 federal prosecutors put on leave:
Federal prosecutors who worked on the Eric Adams case escorted out of workplace (Archive)

Two federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York who worked on the case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams were placed on leave Friday and escorted out of the building by federal law enforcement officials, multiple current and former law enforcement sources told NBC News.
Adams was facing charges in an alleged corruption scheme, but the Justice Department sought to drop the case soon after President Donald Trump took office. The move set off a string of resignations at the Justice Department — including the acting U.S. attorney in the Southern District, Danielle Sassoon — by prosecutors who said the Trump administration was improperly using the charges as leverage over Adams and alleged the government was offering to drop the case if he cooperated with the administration's immigration enforcement initiatives.

The case was indefinitely delayed after then-Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove moved to dismiss the case. The judge handling the Adams case is still reviewing the move for dismissal.
Andrew Rohrbach and Celia Cohen were the prosecutors placed on administrative leave on Friday. The departures came a day after Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche was sworn in following confirmation by the Senate this week. Law enforcement sources said that Rohrbach and Cohen were given letters signed by Blanche.

Other law enforcement sources told NBC News that at least one other Justice Department attorney was placed on administrative leave, apparently due to comments that person made on social media about Ed Martin, Trump's pick as interim U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia. Martin — who backed Trump's false 2020 election claims, spoke at the Capitol on the eve of Jan. 6, 2021, riot, and previously defended alleged and convicted rioters — recently sent an unusual letter to Georgetown Law School about its diversity, equity and inclusion policies, sparking a reply from the dean that called Martin's actions an "attack on the University’s mission as a Jesuit and Catholic institution."
Martin, who Trump wants to make Washington's top federal prosecutor on a permanent basis, is facing a complaint from several Senate Democrats alleging that he "abused his position in several ways, including dismissing charges against his own client and using the threat of prosecution to intimidate government employees and chill the speech of private citizens."

Andrew Rohrbach was 1 of 4 prosecutors on the Ghislaine Maxwell case.

Andrew Rohrbach totally wasn't some low level flunky willing to do whatever hatchet job the NY feds told him to do.

All this is telling me is that Canada was never a friend. No one acts like this over (reciprocating) tariffs unless he’s taking advantage of you.
Europe and Canada have never really been our "friends" especially not their people. Go to literally any comment section on the internet and you will see nothing but euro trash and fucking leaves throwing nothing but venom at America and Americans. they simultaneously think they can call us all stupid subhumans who deserve to die is mass shootings and still have us pay for all their shit and keep them safe from any threat.

the only reason they have been able to implement their garbage social programs they call us 3rd worlders for not having is because we subsidize them and what do we get in response? condescension, hatred and entitlement.

they're spoiled children who don't know how well they have it living under daddy Americas house and it's really time we kicked them out to force them to make it on their own.

The saddest thing is letting in US competition would gratefully benefit the average Canuk. We pay some of the highest prices for goods in the Western world because of the legal monopolies Ottawa created but because he's been told his whole life that the US is nothing but an bunch evil capitalists who will ravage and destroy Canada just to fill their own pockets said Canuk will vote Liberal to "protect Canadian jobs and businesses" not realizing he's fucking over himself and his future children.
Annexation is coming leaf and you will then be unburdened by what has been

the fact that someone made that unironically will never not be funny, the shit the Sharty says about redditors usually isn't an exaggeration
It's seriously impressive how they managed to make learning about how reality works gay and retarded and corrupted to push social messaging.

Regarding Trump's deportations:

I have heard from activists that immigration violations are a civil offense but then they demand full due process for a civil offense.

A favorite example of these people are using parking tickets or speeding tickets as a corollary for immigration offense.

But deportation is not a criminal charge or punishment. It's simply removing people illegally here back to their home country.

A similar thing happens when one is rejected for entry at a port of entry. They are just sent back, no jury trial or judge required.

Back to the traffic analogy. If one is pulled over for a traffic offense then they are given the appropriate punishment, a ticket or even license revocation. As such when one is caught in this country being here illegally, the appropriate punishment of deportation is enacted.

But here the activists shift there stance. It goes from a minor infraction of the law to one requiring tax payer funded legal counsel in many cases or at the very least a full trial.

Anyways, just tired about the dishonest rhetoric around deportations.

Trump is talking about the South Africans again. This time he's offering a fast track to citizenship for farmers and their family.

"b-b-but Trumpler is LITCHERALLY HITLER a-a-and hates migrants!", they continue to stammer out. No, we hate useless freeloaders that don't contribute. If your country is too retarded to hold onto its best, in whatever field, then descending into a freeloader state is on you. Fuck it, we'll take your best if you can't be bothered.

The thing is there are a few things in there that I agree with like how I'd much rather live in the modern era with indoor plumbing, the Internet, and easy access to food than live in the Middle Ages, but it's surrounded by so much soyboy cringe that it gets completely overshadowed by the /r/atheism bullshit.

Western Europe doesn’t share our values in the slightest. Same with Canada. That continent is the end goal of the global elite who want a centralized government to control the world. And that’s what the EU is, but for Europe. Our only real ally’s right now are small island nations like Japan and the Philippines. The difference between the rest of our “ally’s” and them is that they actually like us. A friendship between countries should go both ways, yet all these countries that we claim to be our friends just seek to subvert us. As I’ve said before, Russia would make a fantastic ally because we actually share the same values as them, yet our geniuses in office would rather continue their hand wringing about muh communists rather than accepting that Russia is a different country now compared to 30 years ago.
I share the same opinion on Russia. While I think the Russo-Ukraine war is terrible and Putin pulled a Bush think the war on terror, and the main reason why that war started mind you is because we wanted to put weapons in Ukraine and other countries bordering them, I still think it was wrong. I would've much rather just leave Russia alone and be amicable. They wouldn't want to grab their former USSR subjects if the globohomo would've left them alone. All this happened because of the European oligarchs and the US beckoning their call. I just wish we can repair relations with them after this war is over and cool everything down before the likes of Keir Starmer or Emmanuel Macron pushes us into the Third World War.
