Some ones that come to mind are the social media shills who are just as bad as the print media shills of the past.

All of them. But to name specifics, DreamcastGay (nigga literally painted his nails purple in this video and whenever he brings up Tom Holland he talks like he's about to start jerking off) and RGT 85 are probably the most insufferable. Spawn Wave is also a faggot for the sheer low-effort headline reading he drags out to the 10-11 minute advertiser sweet spot

The whole Minus World group of nintentard asslickers are pretty insufferable too. Watch one of their videos together as a group or individually and tell me they don't look and sound like groomercord pedofaggots hiding behind "muh heckin wholesome smol bean nintendo sloptuber!!11"

Call of Duty content creators that center their channel around the same talking points of how bad Call of Duty is. Blame Truth is a great example of that.


Look at this thumbnail and title. Clickbait. This is about an insider leak that Warzone 3 for the next CoD could be cancelled if the next update of Warzone does not retain its playerbase. He's framing it like it has already happened.

I was just about to point out GTA 6 content creators. More than that, whenever a snippet of speculative information is heard about GTA 6, every media outlet or GTA-centric YouTube would jump in and spam articles about practically nothing with the same trailer frames as images. I've seen about five articles regarding the next trailer's release date from Reddit conspiracies as their sources.

I blame Rockstar as well as the fans since they've been hush hush about the next GTA for years because of GTA Online. Only when somebody irrefutably compromised their databases of leaked GTA 6 gameplay was when they HAD TO say something official.

I blame DSP (and people like him)

Never forget that back in the days of 10 minute uploads DSP found the ultimate lifehack: if you uploaded dozens of videos a day you would get tons of money. YouTube figured out he was spamming the website and they not only deranked his channel but also deranked video game videos in general.

So it is inherently unprofitable to make letsplays and stuff unless you're a great personality. No normal news outlet could make profitable videos about actual gaming news and that's where the "hype over nothing" channels came in with retarded thumbnails and retarded totally baseless and false speculation.

Maybe instead of making "hype over nothing" videos the GTA 6 faggot people should just make DSP videos.

Would ReviewTechUSA count since he WAS a gaming news aggregate channel before he went off the deep end with himself? All he would do is read out articles, then give his "insight" on the article while gaming footage would play in the foreground. Evidently, one of his videos was factually incorrect to where SONY publicly called him stupid for it.

After the Big Cheese thing, the only reason to click on his videos was to read the comments. Loved seeing all the ways people got around his filter. He banned all mention of it on his channel.

He makes videos basically were he shills and pretends to be a fan of some game series's. He also made knock off fallout merch. His channel basically appeals to the lowest common denominator.

I've become increasingly annoyed with the "I USED X TO CONQUER THE WORLD IN RIMWORLD/DWARF FORTRESS/WHATEVER" line of videos. They're all the same damn thing. The limitations present a unique challenge for the first ten minutes of gameplay then the rest of the video is just them becoming retardedly overpowered and it's exactly like every other playthrough of the game from that point on.

Those stupid "can you beat Pokemon using only x" videos are retarded, too. Yes. Pokemon is a game for literal babies. You can beat it by using only Charizard. Absolutely fascinating. This video is a great parody though:

General Nintentuber sloppery is definitely one of the worst though. It's just the video game equivalent of Marvelfaggotry where they pretend to be excited about every single thing the company is remotely involved in instead of having any actual interests or tastes of their own.

I do like one Fire Emblem youtuber that does those kind ifchallenge runs, but at least what he does is so autistic it's kind of respectable.

But yeah Pokemon Nuzlocke is a blight and is not fun or interesting after the novelty wears off.

Besides that I'll argue most deep lore tubers are absolute shit and they just end up wasting time in overly complex theories that end up being false. Dark Souls content creators are a prime example.

Back in the pre-Switch days, you could at least tell that most Nintentubers or people who covered Nintendo content (I.E. Etika, Cobanermani, Chugga) knew what they were talking about and cared about it. Post-adpocalypse, you saw a new kind of YouTube content pop up where every video had to be 10 minutes or more, be crammed with filler, and pumped out constantly. Even when Alpharad brought back his How To Play 101 series, he padded the videos out to 10 minutes with commentated footage instead of ending the videos where they normally would otherwise.

You saw a lot of news-coverage-slop channels like SwitchForce, BeatEmUps, Blocked Content, and Nin10doland pop up and cover anything and everything, grasping onto every straw and covering every single leak and/or rumor. And to top it all off, a fair bit of them turned into complete drama queens, acting very over-the-top in both the thumbnail and video itself. Like, geez dude, it's just a video game. No need to act like it's the end of the world if [Insert Recent Game Here] dissapointed you.

All it really did in the long-term was further solidify YouTube's collective decent into madness in a post-adpocalypse world, where people became so unbelievably desparate to please their masters at the top, lest they be hit with the Yellow Dollar Sign of Doom. All the while, channels like GameXplain, who covered news but were otherwise grounded in their approach to videos and tone, had no choice but to pivot and become slop themselves.
