I've literally never posted anything to reddit before so just bare with me.
I've been back and forth with being trans or not because the whole social aspect is hard yknow, that's besides the point though.
Whenever I'd rant to my sister or anyone really about my gender issues it's always "What about being a guy do you like?", "You can do all the things guys do as a girl.", "Okay but I don't understand why you'd have to be a guy to do this.", or fucking whatever. It's not just the things guys can do that girls can't that I envy. It's the smallest things.
Wearing my band T's as a guy. Singing as a guy. Laughing as a guy. Stargazing as a guy. Getting up at 5 am every morning to make coffee as a guy. Laying in bed and staring out my window on a blue, gloomy, mildly productive day as a guy. Just the mere thought of existing as a guy makes me so fucking happy.
No one around me could even begin to comprehend the way I feel about this.
Not sound edgy or anything.
I seriously just don't understand how to make others understand. It's to the point where I just internalise everything because it's just hard to explain to everyone I talk to.
This isn't a v3nt btw, I just need genuine advice on how to respond to those questions when cis people ask. How do you guys respond to those type of questions?
How do you not let it bother you?
