The terms used for a wide enough amount of things and contexts over the years waters are murky nowadays in a way that benefits pedos. Personally I've never felt comfortable using any of these terms as I don't usually use slang that's the "current thing" for anything but I understand why people would. There's also an increasing seemingly malicious feigned incompetence from the people obsessed with politics team shit in terms of seperating edgy meme humor from real intent and morals.
