I think Don Jr, if he still wants to continue being involved in politics after his dad leaves office is to act more as a gatekeeper, doner and election strategist.

He's never shown any desire to be in office.

ActBlue has survived dozens of scandals including being the main fundraising arm of the BLM riots. If that didn't ruin them, I don't know what will. Half their "donors" are just people that donated a few dollars at one point in time and are now having their information stolen and used to launder money to the DNC.

I dunno for once I'm going to be optimistic.

Never before has the DNC slush machine faced not just a hostile DoJ but a hostile PotUS and hostile public.

Before the usual quid pro quo would be in force, don't investigate us and we won't investigate you, but now Trump is in and he's not your standard politician. He's not only interested in draining the swap (of which ActBlue is a huge part) but of getting payback for all the shit he went through due to the DNC machine using him as fodder for their propaganda machine.

We also now have a AG who will prosecute current and former pols if she can, quid pro quo be damn and a public that is thirsting for more exposure of government corruption and exposing Democratic malfeasance is a good look for GoP up and comers trying to make a name for themselves for 2026 and 2028.

All in all this is a very dangerous time to be a swamp creature. If the high honchos of Act Blue felt safe then they wouldn't be resigning en mass and fleeing to the darkest corners the of bluest states they can find.

Short answer? Because they had sufficient funds left over in their budget. Long answer? Government/deep state/bureaucrats believe all our bases belong to them - what difference does it make to them, or to us, if they disperse funds from their checking account, or their savings account, or a credit card, or etc.? For instance, the new search engine to use instead of Google is apparently Ecosia. Never heard of Ecosia?
