I'm on the writing team for this particular anime. In the upcoming arc Mitsuba overdoses on heroin at a gay bathhouse and it takes the staff three days of him laying there getting fucked to realize he's dead.

He died once as a human and a second time as a ghost (this is actually his third incarnation, that's why his design is rather different from before). IIRC the reason he died the first time was because his classmates bullied him into suicide due to him being very girly and faggot-like. Most of that info is lore things that the anime tends to not include (Zoe-zo has said in the past that anime leaves a lot of details out)

According to the wiki, the circumstances around his death are things Zoo-zoo would never do.
He planned to wish his mother a happy birthday by cooking curry for her, which made his mother very happy, despite her son's complaints of doting on him too hard. But in the midst of running to buy the curry's missing potatoes, it was confirmed that he died in an accident on the road in the winter and it would become the last day that his mother would ever see him.

but yea i did it for attention and for a dumb trolling plan
i didn’t enjoy going along with those dms at all but i felt like i had to if i wanted what i wanted to do to work but i got sick of it after a while
i am not addressing these dms again
and no im not in contact with him anymore
