And seeing them criticize trump makes me wonder what the political landscape in Ireland's like. Especially that one dude saying people there still love biden and is popular there.
It's a fucking disaster. We have three main political parties that are all various shades of globohomo. And three minor political parties that are all deeper shades of globohomo. There is an increasingly bewildered discontent as the immigration issue is quite new here, but is enormous in scale. We know we're being told constant obvious lies but it's so bold it's hard to get your head around.
There is no one to vote for but in cases like the referendums last year where women and family were being redefined, the vote against it was enormous. A push away from military neutrality is going to be insanely unpopular because even the raging leftoids have no interest* in foreign wars. So that could be interesting.
At the same time our current government is constantly fighting like children. They are terrified of Trump, imo. The whole economy is built around good relations with the US. It was almost comical here for the last two weeks of February when the St Patrick's Day White House invite didn't arrive. But now that it has, they are shit scared of getting the Zelensky treatment. Martin, the current leader, is smart enough not to openly fight with Trump, but he has shit talked him publicly in the past and I genuinely think he's stupid enough to think Vance is stupid and is ignorant of Vance's clear interest in Ireland. So it's going to be a shit show, even if it's not on camera.
*Just an edit on this. To be accurate they do have an obsessive interest in foreign wars, but only insofar as moralising online, marching up and down the street and doing a bit of a boycott. There are weekly protests in most towns and cities, condemning our government for not doing enough for Palestine, which makes no sense as the Irish government is very, very inorganically pro-Hamas, to the point that I wouldn't be surprised if they are being guided by a group like the WEF/USAID/the EU, yet the protest groups on the ground are constantly trying to make them push harder. It's very, very weird.
