What even happened to SA? Why the fuck did it ever end up being cluttered with self-righteous losers slapping themselves for being white or whatever? Hbomberguy is laughably insecure and self-important and VoidBurger is just a fucking sociopath.

Oh, that's an easy question. The Laissez Faire subforum. Some people blame FYAD but it wasn't FYAD, it was LF.

LF had some amusing threads but for the most part it was the cancer that caused the self-righteous Marxists to flock to SA.

Don't know if you've seen any of his videos but he's amazingly deluded and self-absorbed.

He's a good editor because he actually did a film studies degree. That's probably what's contributed to his mindset and worldview as well - universities are overwhelmingly left-wing and censorious as is, but the fact he sprung up from Something Awful just makes things worse.

For now it's all hearsay, but I trust the guy who's given us that hearsay. I have no idea how to search Something Awful or if that's even possible. If somebody else does, I'd appreciate concrete evidence.

To be fair this was when he was making LPs. I remember him posting a lot but never making something people loved. Apparently people like him now? That I don't know about.

He was a shitty LPer and he creeped on at least one female LPer but nothing that was banworthy (and that was one thing slowbeef didnt tolerate much of) so I can't verify lolcow status

This right here is why this guy's such a weird find for me. On one hand, he has a modicum of cleverness and self-awareness. For the shit I give the Sonic cosplay, it's actually pretty funny as a sort of weird and creepy performance art, and it's obvious he intended it that way. Most cows can't really articulate that kind of humor, at least not as well.

But at the same time it's obvious he's a smug argumentative prick who's pretty good at making himself virtually indistinguishable for any low-information social justice cow.
