The ideal ending is that percy goes to a hospital. And gets help from a medical professional that will be able to stop the voices in his head. I've been trying to think about why this comic really rankles me so much, and it was rewatching the end of this video that reminded me:

The actual reality of the illness these people pretend to have. The comic just becomes so much more sinister when you compare it to the first man that appears near the end, the debate team member and honor student that now has to live with his parents. It's eerily similar, and then you remember that these people believe this is some good thing, that you should see these voices in your head as something real and valid. What would reading this do to someone like him, if he was born around nowadays and saw this when his symptoms started? It's actually a great thing that this comic is so good at telling the opposite message that it thinks it's telling. All of these DID pretenders should be forced to watch the actual victims of this disease talk about this clockwork orange style. This isn't some quirky fun thing. This isn't some heccin valid LBHGGDT+ identity, and nothing is more damning than movements like the ones they are apart of thinking it is.

Another point against Tats "just" being a grifter is the fact that he only posts his comics. He doesn't even link his Locals/Subscribestar/Substack in the footer of his website, its on the front page cause its the last news he posted, but nowhere else. On Twitter links them in his bio, but unlike every other Cartoonist he does not reply to himself with "if you like me, support me on Whatever".
He doesnt sell merch, he doesnt livestream himself drawing, he does nothing to drive any kind of engagement to his profile whatsoever.

no release date currently (there's a comment on the original post of this from SNP saying "in a few years" because she's busy with some weird furry superhero thing first, claiming that this "cluster B" comic is going to release after she finishes up Children of the Light (the schizo comic),

but I'm still keeping an eye on it because I am genuinely impressed that she thinks this is a good idea. Honestly, I'm 50/50 on it being a self-insert comic at this point, given that she admitted to making it in high school and the fact that its protagonist is a theatric bunny rabbit that just so happens to look like her avatar with less clothes and darker fur.

The tldr for people who don’t know, a schizophrenic man named Vince Li thought God was talking to him, urging him to kill Tim, who was just trying to go home on the bus. Tim was stabbed, beheaded, and cannibalized, leaving his pregnant wife behind, and everyone on the bus traumatized. I think one of the cops on the scene actually developed PTSD and shot himself.
This is the worst case scenario for what happens when you treat a potentially dangerous mental illness as a good thing. That’s without even getting into how much the person suffering can be hurt, especially by themselves. Like I said, what if Niko does something that gets Percy arrested? Edit because I just remembered the Shell Lake massacre, where a schizophrenic man murdered almost an entire family because the devil told him to. Of course not. Not a chance. It'll never be depicted that way. Despite the Bateman-esque intro, despite how detrimental those personalities are to Percy, he's never going to a hospital. Tumblr users like SnP hate consequences. Steven Universe, for example? Fell apart because there were fewer and fewer consequences for anything its characters did, until there were practically none at all. Nothing meant anything. Unfortunately for SnP, you can't avoid the consequences of a crippling disease like that, especially when you make your story all about it, because something that debilitating and that pervasive can't be nothing. It means something by default. It consumes your whole life. This isn't prehistoric times where they can be shamans or something. You can't rationalize or hand-wave away psychiatric disorders. So to put it simply, his current insanity is potentially a toss up between or a blending of “Just can’t accept that the Axis lost, who cares if Hirohito is dead”, “What zero pussy does to a motherfucker”, and “any publicity is good publicity”. Literally the only thing that has been consistent since he went from milquetoast newspaper comic tier to some shade of shrieking edgetard is an all consuming obsession with "pure womanhood" and furious hatred against any and all he decides to be "corrupting" women in some form or another, along with a fixation on endlessly drawing and redrawing sexy cartoon ladies in negligee solely so he can fume about how degenerate and evil such depictions are.

I have speculated at some length before as to what kind of hypothetical IRL or even online relationship drama may have led to this, however upon trawling around the troon hive that is the r/sinfest subreddit for answers I became aware via the moaning of autists pining for some alleged "golden age" of the comics of just how much pre-sinfest was centred around the insipid and overly cutsey romance plotlines of two or three obvious author avatars, which all abruptly stopped the moment he decided to LARP as Valerie Solanas and crusade against the filth of the male race in the name of all womyn and decidedly were not picked up when he jumped ship to seething about troons and globohomo, nor even when he jumped ship again to his current neo nazi schizo shit.

Call me a fat and gay and bitchtitted armchair psychologist here, but there has gotta be something going on with his personal relationships IRL for him to progress from

a. Fixating on cringy but mostly harmless romance between his NiceGuy self inserts and sexy demon/emo chicks​

b. Erasing all heterosexual romance overnight and declaring war against all men for the crime of being men and thus inherently abusing pure and virtuous and stunningly brave women by depicting or even just thinking of them as sexy​

As alluded to before, my personal theory is that he based one of the OG romantic partners of his self inserts on somebody he knew and lusted for IRL, who probably saw him as a weird friend at best or a creepy acquaintance at worst, and when they found out a character was heavily based on them and shit they had said or done while also overtly head over heels in love with an obvious stand in for him, they understandably flipped the fuck out. I.e. What Chris Chan pulled with Megan back in the day.

Subsequently in order to try and "redeem" himself in her eyes he abruptly axed all romance plotlines and frantically read whatever radical feminist material he could find to show how non creepy and non threatening a man he was, and then spent the next half decade obsessively spamming shit about how disgustingly evil and degenerate all men were and how sacred and wonderful and superior all women were, especially the character he based on them from what I can gather based on some googling, and due to how fixated he was on her he kept this up even as his audience bailed en masse and his professional life imploded, and I suspect he even styled his non-radfem woke shit on what he saw being liked and reposted on her social media feed.

Predictably, this did not work out and so he eventually turned extremely bitter, likely after his efforts were either ignored or explicitly rebuffed, leading to him pivoting to hardcore anti-woke schtick out of spite and due to his already corroded mental state and the very likely autism he had been suffering throughout his life there was absolutely no brakes on the crazy train as it hurtled toward ever more edgetarded shit.

Obviously this is all just speculation based on a subjective interpretation of his comics, with the only factors I am willing to bet money on being some emotionally charged drama with a woman he had the hots for and massive autism along with a likely undiagnosed mental illness. You make a good point I've never considered much: the vast majority of the male protagonists of Sinfest are Tats, mostly as he sees himself or perceives himself. We can do a bit more with some shitty armchair psychologist work.

Without considering the Cartoonist that was a direct self-insert, both Slick and Criminy were small, nerdy, bespectacled men that approached/were approached by sexually aggressive women that however deep inside wanted a vanilla romcom relationship, while the pig struggles constantly with porn addiction and low self-esteem. His feminazi dive was peculiar, with the most vanilla romcom protagonist (Criminy) essentially disappearing entirely and Pig and Slick being considered men and inferior, but often shown as victims of society and of Patriarchy. A desperate need to show that TEH PATRIARCHY was damaging for men too, even if they were porn addicted freaks (if one stops to think about it, porn/prostitution was a huge part of Feminist Sinfest, even beyond the usual feminazi ranting).
